I was truly surprised about the prices, especially considering its location. The next surprise came when I tried the food - it was delicious, and came pretty fast

This is a lovely small bar and restaurant just around the corner from the Hilton in Slussen on the south side of Gamla Stan. Presentable micro brew lager at (only!) 59Kr for half a litre. Wonderful meatballs (120 Kr) and other local specialities. Friendly staff and a really vibrant atmosphere!

We had one of the best meals of our holiday here. The meatballs were fantastic and they're home made beer and schnapps was great too. Very happy with the service, our waitress was so enthusiastic and you could tell she was proud to be a part of the team there, she knew the menu inside out and was very helpful.... More

We saw the reviews ot the restaurant and went for dinner. It is a very nice and cosy place near Slussen, very friendly staff. The food is excellent, they offer also house beer.

Everything was perfect. The beer, food and service. I had the marinated herring with lingonberry sauce and mashed potatoes. Delicious.

Based on previous reviews we visited this restaurant for the Swedish meatballs and we weren't disappointed - they were amazing. The portion sizes are generous and the price was very reasonable. The staff were friendly and helpful as well. We enjoyed the meatballs so much we went back to the restaurant the following evening and had the pork loin and... More

The place is nice and cozy, can be a little bit noisy if you are looking for a quite dinner. The meatball they serve is fantastic with good portion. However, the staff was not friendly in my case.

A lively spot to hit up for dinner and drinks after exploring Slussen and Sodermalm - you will find yourself amongst plenty of locals. My mother and friend particularly liked the Skagentoast. They also ordered some fish, which my friend liked but my mother found to be too heavy (probably just a personal taste issue). I took the (only) vegetarian... More

Authentic Swedish food, great atmosphere, great beer list, moderately priced. The kind of place where a party of 10 or a party of one has a nice time.

Staying in Slussen

Neighbourhood Profile
A unique mix of grotesque 1960s concrete urban vision and cosy historical Swedish brick houses, Slussen has become one of Stockholm’s most architecturally edgy and controversial neighborhoods. Plans to rebuild the area have been on the agenda for decades, however, so far no agreement could be reached, which is the reason for the continuing decay of its brutalist substance. Nevertheless, the museums and the main shopping street, Götgatan, attract both locals and tourists with Sweden’s most fashion-forward clothing retailers, hipster coffee shops and restaurants. Once the lights are out, the area turns into a bustling nightlife haven, catering to all preferences, from posh hotel bars to sweaty underground nightclubs. There is no better place to experience the clash between old and new Sweden.
