Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Apple Tree Kitchen provided a wonderful two course lunch for my Mum and her friends to celebrate her 90th birthday. The food and service were amazing, all dietary requirements were catered for and we all had a fantastic time.

We’ve just returned from having a delicious Sunday Lunch with friends at this amazingly beautiful restaurant. I’ve eaten in the cafe with my girl friends a number of times and have always been blown away with the quality of food, portion sizes and friendly staff....Today I took my husband and two friends for the Sunday roast and it was stupendous. Not only was the meal itself very well cooked and great value for money, the level of service provided by the young team on duty was exceptional. They were polite, attentive and hard working. They were a team organised to provide a seamless service in true harmony. We were all so impressed with them. Appletree management should be very proud of their training standards and exceptionally proud of the youngsters working for them; they’re a fabulous team doing a great job for a truly lovely venue. We’ll be back and our friends say they’ll be bringing family back another time too. Keep up the good work Appletree; you’ve got it right!More

Beautiful food in such a wonderful setting. We visited 3 times and were lucky enough to sample breakfast lunch and pizza night. The staff are delightful and even made a cake for our daughter. Dog friendly, wonderful grounds to explore.

Visited for brunch - we were a large family party and the service was quick, efficient and friendly. The food impressed all the southerners and was cooked to perfection. My poached eggs and smashed avocado was better than anything similar I've had in London. Highly...recommended.More

The Apple Tree kitchen hosted a family reunion for seventeen people at the weekend. We had a wonderful, unhurried buffet lunch in a cosy, comfortable setting, enjoying excellent service from Jo, Charlotte and their team. All set in the midst of Pitlands Farm. Highly recommended.

This is a gem of a place. Such high quality ingredients cooked with love. A lot better than what some of the pubs around the area are offering. Delicious sausages and mash and gravy. Soul food. And the best burger i have eaten in years!!!!...And finally a place that serves proper burger buns, high quality brioche bread toasted, light and crispy. Not rubbish dough bread. Tea served in wonderful china tea cups and pretty tea pots. Excellent coffee menu, i could go on and on. I love this place, you get what you pay for. I love to return again and again. ;-)More

Absolutely lovely Sunday lunch. Had 2 courses, main and a pud for £19. Local roast pork with all the trimmings. A mincemeat streusel with local ice cream to follow. Sat in beautiful beamed room with open fire. Lovely on a snowy afternoon.

What a fantastic find - just the best Sunday Roast. Came here in a recommendation - which was spot on! Really friendly attentive staff and tables not crammed in to maximise the number of covers. Beautifully cooked and presented meals - the vegetarian option was...epic. Very fair pricing for the quality of food. I understand that coffee/ tea and cake is also excellent along with the full English breakfast. We will definitely be back!More

I think this is a lovely place but overhall its expensive for sandwiches and does not have simple things like soup. My ham sandwich was just OK rather dry bread and nothing very special for £7.45 was not worth it.
