Following the horrid drag that is Stansted Airport I was tired & hungry. Luckily my daughter found this gem in the local market. Delicious traditional Swedish comfort good like poached cod & creamy mash & lovely meatballs in sauce. Superb !

Small restaurant in the market hall with both indoor and outdoor seating. Fish soup at lunch time was tasty. They also serve breakfast.

This place is OK for a quick bite. The food was good. One could tell that the chef used quality ingredients and did not take any short cuts. I was not overly pleased with the heavy saffron in the fish soup, but that is a personal preference and no slight to the chef. Tastes differ. The menu promised horse radish... More

Our first Swedish lunch did not disappoint, particularly the meatballs, good value for money. Other specialities included the fish soup and chilli con carne, which was a tad too salty. Overall, a nice introduction to Swedish cuisine.

I like restaurants in the marketplace. And I am not the only one: Amanda 's won't accept reservations and you must wait your turn. But it is worth the wait. Great shrimp sandwich, delicious fish soup with saffron, fennel and dill, honest meatballs. Basic choice of wine, fair price.

We have heard great things about this place , but unfortunately were disappointed by the extremely slow service ( considering it was so quiet and with plenty of staff behind the counter . We ordered the mussels & chips - got the wrong chips ( sweet and burnt ) the bread stale ( really old ) - the meatballs were... More

A good place for a lunch when in Gothenburg. I have eaten here a number of times and so far it has always been good. It's usually very busy during lunch time so it's not easy to get a table but well worth a try. The restaurant is located inside the "Saluhallen" and during the summer they have tables outside.... The restaurant is located in the food hall but is easily accessible after hours for dinner. There was a limited menu of fish and meat dishes freshly prepared. The waitress was extremely knowledgeable on wine choice and service was really friendly.

My meal at this bistro was a good experience. I had to have a plate of meatballs and mashed potatoes. The hotel recommended this place and it was good. Service and meal were nice. Thx.
