Good food, they say - but we are not able to try it as the place is totally not accessible for those who cannot use stairs. There are stairs everywhere, even the toilet is downstairs.

If you want to have a good dinner with friendly service in a cozy and warm atmosphere in Jyväskylä, Puistokatu 3 is your address. Kissanviikset offers a diverse range of starters and main courses. A cute cat-theme shows everywhere in decoration.

Restaurant Kissanviikset is a cosy small restaurant in Jyväskylä city center. They serves excellent food with resonable price. Their speciality is a "lankkupihvi" planked steak which can be recomended.

Good food, service and atmosphere. I can warmly recommend. I ate beef in a pot and my companion ate huge bread with among others fruit. It was some kind of house's special. Both were tasty 👍

Lamb was excellent as well as white fish and the portions were delightfully big. Dessert was tasty, too, but this time portions were rather small... The small room was packed full of tables, so you heard quite a lot from neighboring tables. Someone would call it intimate atmosphere, but I would have liked to have a bit more space around... More

This "cat-themed" restaurant has really tasty food, and even though it's not written on the online menu, they also serve gluten free food. Almost every dish can be made gluten-free. All the portions are big, so you won't leave this restaurant feeling hungry. This is not the cheapest place in Jyväskylä, but worth it - main dishes are about 20-30... More

Outside the place doesn't look very attracting - like a 80's restaurant or something, but it is very tidy and comfy. The menu has many alternatives, and you will face a difficult decision of which plate to choose. I rarely go for the stake, but now I did, 'cause I craved for veggies. Now I understand what's all the fuzz... More

In the city center very high quality restaurant. Quite expensive but if You want good food go there. Maybe best in town. Top winelist. Good service.

This is one of the oldest restaurants in Jyväskylä. It is not on the edge of new and hip food trends but what they serve and how they serve is delightful! I always have snails and beef, some fruity after that. They have short but well builded wine list. Kissanviikset means cat whiskers and nams shows inside!

Thank Katja P
