The lunch guests at Fransmanni in the Kimmel hotel obviously are mostly conference package guests. For them the lunch represents no specific price but is apart of the conference package. But for a walk-in customer 21,50 is much too much for a limited variety salad buffet - with fruit that would have needed another week ti ripen - and a... More

We very much enjoyed a meal at Fransmanni. All of our dishes were prepared well; the salmon received especially strong reviews. Even a 5-year-old in our group was pleased. Service was gracious and attentive but not overwhelming. A great experience.

Clearly popular with tourists and locals alike, this place delivers a French inspired menu with seasonal touches. Started with bread, warm and crispy, with tomato tapenade. Tried pepper chicken with garlic potatoes and salmon with fried potato wedges. Both dishes were perfectly done in its simplicity. Dessert of almond and rhubarb cake with raspberry sauce and chocolate mousse was balanced... More

Indeed French with a Finnish twist... Escargots with a persillade like in the better brasseries in France... Just missing their house... No problem at all. And of course excellent river/lake fish like pike perch... Just go and enjoy!!

An interesting menu with a few classic French dishes and some Finnish adaptations. Service was smiling and efficient with plenty of advice if you needed it. A sensible wine list added to the formula for this chain restaurant. The food was well presented and perfectly cooked and was reasonable value. A reliable restaurant for a meal out with friends or... You can spend a relaxing moments with good food in this cosy restaurant. Typical French food and selection of nice wines. All Finnish Fransmannis have same menus but if you are lucky, they might have local or seasonal menus. Especially Fridays with mussels are very nice. If you have S group's bonus card, you will have nice benefits, for example... More

Visited last night with some work collegues, the staff were very friendly and helpful. They recommended some dishes we tried and they were very good. We started with garlic snails that were the best I have had and followed up with steak and garlic potatoes that had a great flavour. My work collegue had the salmon that was a good... More

Friendly service with the determination to make you feel being a valued customer. Diets taken care of, recommendations without the need to squeeze them out... And good food.
