Little bit old fashioned, you have to pay from water even if the food prices was high. But the food was excellent

Last Saturday I took out my elderly mother who is bounded in a wheelchair. The restaurant is in a cellar and the stairs were a challenge. No problems. In no time the helpful staff carried her in the wheelcair downstairs and placed us in a...most nice table. The menu was excellent, we got superservice and a lot of nice smiles. Definitely we will visit again. Thanks to the entire personnel, especially to the professional kitchen.More
We have been at your restaurant many times before. Now the toast skagen was near perfection. Peppersteak was phenomenal and sauce was perfect. I don’t usually say that something is perfect, but now the sauce… I can’t imagine that i could have anything better, so...perfect 10/10. Food, experience, etc 5-/5.More
Than you and welcome again😊
I had the mushroom soup without the herb oil and herbs on it (I have food restrictions) and have to say it tasted very artificial and too salty. The ice cream for dessert was big but nothing special. The whipped cream in it tasted like...those ready ones you spray from a bottle. It was 14 euros which I think was super expensive. My husband really liked his food, he had the salmon with risotto and then panna cotta for dessert. The waiter was sweet and attentive.More
Central location, so easy to access. The restautant is nicely designed as an old basement. The food was good, not spectacular but offers good value for the price. There is usually free tables available so not mandatory to book a table before hand.
First time a long time all three courses were really enjoyable. High level products with high skilled cooking served with excellent customer service. Definitely we will come back
When you come to Brahen Kellari to eat, expectations are of course already high beforehand. Still, the restaurant was able to surprise positively in all areas. Already at the door we felt welcomed, as if we were the most important customers of the evening. You...know this feeling. The service was first class, the food fantastic, the atmosphere just what we were hoping for. We were a group of 7 people, we all ate starters, main courses and desserts, and we all agreed on the things described above. Great restaurant, not the cheapest, but worth every euro. The unanimous recommendation of our group: If you want to celebrate one of your important events, or otherwise just eat well, Brahen Kellari is a great option for you.More
This place has proved to a restaurant from where you always depart with a smile on your face. And…. therefore always also return.
Fantastic food in a nice restaurant. Service is excellent in welcoming atmosphere. We highly recomend you to pay a visit to Braheen Kelleri. Kind regards Hans, Dorota, Leif and Miralem
Food and service went hand on hand, not a great culinary experience. The meny lacks creativity and food tasted like grandmoms woolsocks. Back to the 80’
After the three-hour soul food in the theater, it was nice to have some food also for the stomach. This restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere. The service is always excellent starting from the cloakroom. The menu has remained quite untouched. So it was easy to...choose what you wanted to eat. The food was as tasty as before.More
Roe deer was excellent. Other dishes were also tasty. Service was good and atmosphere was relaxed. Worth of visit.
Was there for dinner in November. Service and food was good. The place has a good atmosphere and service was relaxed
We tasted almost the menu trough with different taste of food. Two children, they chose mostly by children's list. Only disappointment was the wine (two different by glass) and the stressed atmosphere, maybe corona affected
Brahen Kellari(=Cellar) is restaurant icon in Turku, founded 1967. Location is real central and interior cozy. We had a business dinner here and had high expectations, because during Covid-19, there hasn't been that many dinners. Our waitress was friendly and on a (semi)quiet Thursday evening,...service was fast. I started with creamy, smoked reindeer soup and continued with panfried Scampi, which was real delicious. Not the cheapest place in Turku, but well worth itMore
