Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I had the haddock and husband had the tenderloin. The fish was fresh. the beef tender, and portions were decent size. We started with tempura prawns and deep fried scallops - both with tasty sauces. The chocolate cake was a great ending. We arrived around...5:30, there were still tables but it was filling up. The service was friendly, efficient and fast. We'll return, lots of happy faces in the restaurant so I think a reliable choice for a great meal.More

We (2) arrived without reservation - no trouble. The choice for both of us was the lamb fillet - lots of well-tasting meat, accompanied with a bottle of Ripasso. We also had a dessert also very tasty. We paid approx. 150 EUR in total -...a fair price. If i have to point out an improvement area, i would suggest a more personal service instead of just handing out the plates etc.More

Our visit to Harry’s was my favourite meal of the whole holiday. It was affordable (compared to neighbouring restaurants), the staff were polite and the venue is modern and clean. The food was delicious- fish and chips & grilled chicken. I would highly recommend and...return again.More

After reading trip advisor Harrys was on our list to visit. The food here is sublime our party of four had lobster soup, spring rolls to start tenderloin, lamb shanks and chicken for main course and we sampled them all, not only were they delicious...the plate looked so healthy and beautiful. Absolutely fantastic! Lamb and Fish dishes are superb. The 3-course menus are tremendous value and quality. Most definitely THE best restaurant we ate at in our 10 night stay in Reykjavik. Disappointed we only found it 2 nights before the end of our holiday BUT...we ate there BOTH nights the food is so good. The staff are brilliant. Best to book as it is so popular!More

We placed our order and waited and waited, other people came in ordered and ate their meal whilst we were still waiting. We then had to ask where the food was and it then arrived immediately but with no apology or sign of concern. In...leaving we paid the bill and said goodbye but staff were too busy talking to each other to acknowledge us. Low rating for customer service from us.More

Outstanding lamb fillet and haddock dishes. Just a short 2-minute walk from the Center Hotels Laugavegur. Staff were friendly and attentive. We found a lot of tasty food in Reykjavik, but this was one of the best!

Eating here tonight 16th.January 2024 was a disaster. Our food took 45 mins to arrive , after much asking and questioning. The staff on the floor said they did not know what was going on in the kitchen, just that some ‘machine’ was not working....They did not care that we were annoyed, were dismissive, offered us another glass of wine. It never arrived. There was no apology or regret on the staff’s part. Harry’s was recommended by our hotel, I have asked the hotel to remove It from their list of recommended restaurants in Reykjavík. Also it seemed odd that the staff couldn’t print out a bill til we paid!More

Tasty food, good portions, but lacks atmosphere deco basic. Staff were helpful and were able answer questions about the food and ingredients. Tip: don’t sit near the main doors Gust of cold wind hits you when doors open. But worth a try.

The best meal we had in Iceland. They do a very good set menu (with choices). The food was excellent and it was reasonably priced.

Delicious food, service was good, reasonably priced, great menu if you’re gluten free. Our food came out in great time without having to wait too long in between courses. The best gluten free chocolate cake I’ve ever had.

I had pre-booked before our visit and the restaurant was full so I would recommend this. My husband had the lobster soup to start which he said was delicious. We then both had fish and chips which were extremely tasty. There was about four pieces...of thick fish in a crispy but light batter and lovely hand cut chips. The staff were friendly and the restaurant itself very nice.More

If they are not open for some reason, there are plenty of seafood restaurants on the harbor strip close to Harry's.
