Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We discovered Emilie's by accident, having time to kill before leaving Reykjavik to travel home to Boston. It's just off one of the main tourist streets (Laugavegur) and the name was intriguing. We had blueberry muffins and coffee, and both were delicious. The two women...running the place were friendly and welcoming, and we used the free wi-fi. Very nice place to hang out if only briefly.More

This was a great cafe close to our Hotel. The bagels were fresh and so delicious. We had there amazing homemade soup. We also tried a sample of their Cinnamon roll which we should have gotten for the road, it was so good.

I loved this place, wish I could clone it and bring it back to Scotland with me! Came for breakfast/brunch at approx 10:30am on a weekday and we were lucky to get a seat but very glad we did. Not exclusively vegan but had an...excellent selection of plant based fresh cookies, muffins, sweet scones and savoury scones. Also a few good vegan bagel fillings, and they don't charge extra for plant milks! I had the 'las vegan' bagel, the bread was fantastic, and an apple and cinnamon scone which I took away for later, also delicious. With my coffee I was given a little bite of cinnamon roll which was a lovely touch, although I had only a small bite of this I think they might be the best cinnamon rolls in Iceland. If I'm ever back in Reykjavik or near one of their French cafes I'll be sure to pay them another visit!More

Drinks were delicious but what really pleased me was the atmosphere and extremely friendly staff. The baked goods looked incredible but we didn’t get to try any. I got the hot Nutella and it was sooooo good! Would definetly come back if given the opportunity!

Pastries to love, coffee to wake up for and staff to smile at. We loved Emilie and friends. Staying at SKUGGI hotel we walked past it every morning and although there are plenty other places to sit and drink coffee in Reykjavik this is by...far the “coolest”More

Best breakfast spot short distance from our hotel. We had the breakfast bagel with the add on brunch menu which included any coffee, fresh and I mean fresh squeezed orange juice, homemade granola with great yogurt and a dessert.

Really great bagels! Our first stop on arriving after a very early flight. All tired and starving. The breakfast bagels and coffees were just what we needed. Super cute atmosphere. Loved it!

Weren't especially welcoming and I was told the toilet was out of use, which I found hard to believe since that would mean the staff were going all day without needing the toilet? Expensive coffee like most places, except without any facilities.

We visited Reykjavik earlier this week from the Uk, we popped in to Emilie and the cool kids to grab a coffee and raspberry bun prior to starting our walking tour. Honestly so delicious! I have been thinking about the bun ever since. Put this...place on your list to visit when in the area!More

The food looks great, but the service was so arogant and rude when we arrived, that it made us leave. Go to Sandholt instead.. Way better 😊
