Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

After hearing so much about this place, we decided that it was a must go during our visit. If you set your expectations at a mid range, you will be satisfied. Over-hyped but decent. You have options here so for that reason I like it....Food quality for lunch was under-whelmingMore

Made several trips to Deig during our stay in Reykjavik. The donuts were to die for, and the bagels did not disappoint us New Yorkers. I miss the cinnamon crullers!

Great customer service and the bagels are incredible. Of note is that the shop was located right inside out hotel so A+ as a convenience factor.

We picked up breakfast here before heading out to the golden circle route. It was DELICIOUS! We each got a bagel sandwich and donuts. Loved everything.

There are so many amazing places to explore while visiting Iceland.  However, sometimes there are simple moments on vacation that bring great joy.  Our family fell in love with Deig during our visit to Iceland.  The bagels and doughnuts are freshly made and were so delicious.  There is nothing...better than walking to the bakery, eating a pastry from Deig in bed, and enjoying the endless long summer nights in Iceland. Thanks Deig for being a small part of our epic vacation.More

This was an absolutely incredible find whilst we were visiting Reykjavik. The pastries are utterly superb, as are the bagels but the absolute piece de resistance is the crème brûlée doughnut. So good that it should probably be illegal. A must visit.

we stopped here on a recommendation from one of our tour guides and it did not disappoint. The creme brule doughnut is to die for. They brule it right in front of you and the cream inside is absolutely delicious.

Best bagels! Who’d have thought Iceland would have the best bagels! They are slightly crisp outside soft inside and better than even nyc pretzels. We only had the everything and the sesame bagels with cream cheese but you could have it with with eggs bacon...cheese making it a sandwich as well. They are on street level of the Exeter hotel on the waterfront. We drove to get them for breakfast all week when we were there.More

My wife and I visited Deig THREE times while visiting Reykjavik. Glorious, FRESH donuts and baked goods. Local Icelandic goodies.

Fortunately for us, this lovely bakery is located within our hotels lobby. We enjoyed the fresh bagels twice on our trip, I had the pretzel bagel and my partner had a Parmesan and an everything bagel. All 3 of these were delicious. We also had...a nutella donut, a chocolate donut and a lemon twist during our 2 visits, and again these were delicious. The queue is often quite long but it goes down quick as orders are placed and then you are given a ticket number and wait whilst they serve the next person. Even for our sit down meal in the hotel lobby (we had 1 takeaway and 1 sit in) the wait time was never more than 5 minutes. Although this bakery isn't necessarily in the most populous area of the city, I would more than recommend the 20 or so minute walk from the rainbow road.More

The bakery to end all bakeries. Delicious cinnamon buns. Lovely bread - as good as it gets. Doughnuts were just too good (I’m toooo fat). Well worth the reputation. Epic.

Pit stop for coffee and donuts before a whale watching tour. So much choice, every thing was delicious. Wish I'd has room for a bagel but perhaps next time

Amazing food in quirky setting. We shared the ham bagel, a creme brulee doughnut and a cinnamon kruller doughnut. The creme brulee doughnut, warm with crispy caramelised sugar on was the best doughnut I've ever eaten. For me Deig topped the other numbet one bakery....Wish we had time to visit again!More
