An absolute delight

The restaurant was few minutes walk from my hotel Eyja Guldsmeden. Had an absolutely fantastic experience. The food was absolutely delicious. I walked in without a reservation and managed to get a seat. The service was excellent and the food was absolutely gorgeous.

An absolute must.

This restaurant was a fantastic surprise. In a small side street, you could easily miss the most amazing food experience. The chef is incredible, and took the time to discuss his menu. The food was divine. The atmosphere relaxed and easy. Definitely one not to...miss. A tip - the Icelandic lamb is a gift from heaven. Enjoy.More

A gem of a find

Fantastic little restaurant outside of the main downtown area. Food was fantastic - would particularly recommend the seafood tagliatelle. Was so good we ended up going twice in the week we were there

Excellent food and service

What a place, from the moment we walked through the door the customer service was excellent. Sandra, a wonderful lady, greeted us and fit us in (table of 5) without a reservation, nothing seemed too much trouble for her. The food was exceptional ( i...stopped short at licking the plate lol), I would highly recommend it, anyone visiting Reykjavik , book yourself a table, you won't be disappointed . If you could leave more than 5 stars I would, thank you for your hospitalityMore

Superb food and nice ambience

Lovely restaurant. The front of house staff were friendly and did their job really well. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Went for a birthday meal and surpassed our expectations even having read the very good reviews here. The decor is nice, even...the background music was good. It's expensive by UK standards but no more than everything else in Iceland!More

Best restaurant in Reykjavík?

10/10 pepper steak was amazing, best meal I have had this year hand down! Lovely atmosphere and very friendly and helpful staff. My wife had crusty rack of lamb and we both had dessert and drinks, came in at about £120.00 but worth every penny...and going back before we go home.More

A lovely family owned restaurant! Top notch...

Our hotel recommended this restaurant. The service and food was excellent. We enjoyed our date cake dessert. An exceptional treat. A must when you're in Reykjavik!!!

Amazing food

The best meal I had in Iceland. Incredibly nice staff and incredible food. The lobster soup was amazing (best soup I ever had), I also recommend the crispy rack of lamb, I promise you won’t regret it. The food was amazing and the prices were...great for the quality of the food and service provided. Fully recommend visiting this restaurant.More

Great spot!!

We went for dinner and even without booking the staff accommodated us quickly despite the place being pretty busy. This place has a nice atmosphere, friendly staff and great food. I got Icelandic lamb and my wife had mixed seafood gratin. I recommend it.

Dinner treat.

We were staying across the street and read the reviews so decided to have dinner there. It was super busy and we were told that unless you have a reservation almost impossible to get in. We lucked out. It took quite a while for the...server to take our order, but after that everything went smoothly. Lots of Icelandic dishes on the menu and other dishes. We loved our entrees! They were perfectly cooked and very tasty. The staff were personable. Difficult to pay your bill as you need to ask a couple of times.More

Poturrinn og Pannan , not to be flushed. Literally around the corner from 22 Hill Hotel and so conveniently open on Commerce Da

Ambiance gets top marks, delicious seafood, soup and tagliatelli are very tasty, loaded with flavour and just enough chili. Lots of locals and visitors, always a good sign of quality. Friendly young staff, excellent service. Cannot fault it. Big wine list, full bar. Hot coffee,...with chocolates. What is not to like?More

Good food and a lovely service

Exceptional

The restaurant is a lovely comforting space inside, and feels very homely. Staff are incredibly friendly and are very willing to give recommendations, are very attentive, even when the place is really busy. The food is exquisite, so good I had to go back twice...during my trip over to Iceland. Thoroughly enjoyed this place and couldn't recommend highly enough.More
