Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely tagines. Standard Icelandic prices. The reason for 4 stars is only half the menu was available and the owner despite the smiles wasn't the most welcoming.

Walked in on a Saturday night with no reservation expecting us to struggle to get seated. Luckily got a table no problem and immediately got to soak in the atmosphere. The Moroccan bread placed on the table tasted exactly as I remember getting in Marrakech...when I visited a few years back. One of us ordered chicken tagine, the other lamb cous cous. They were amazing! Freshly made as we enjoyed our starters. 100% would return.More

Found this place online having made the mistake of not making a restaurant reservation on a Saturday evening in Reykjavík. Cosy restaurant near the old harbour with friendly service. Me and my husband both had tagines ( chicken and lamb) which were both really tasty,...and exactly the type of food you’d want after a day exploring in the cold. Relatively small menu, which we found reassuring, doing a few things and doing them really well.More

This place is surely a gem in Iceland. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. The food is perfection in your mouth. Try the chicken tagine or the vegetarian couscous. You won’t regret! Make this a must stop on your food tour of Iceland.

This place was incredible! I had The lemon chicken and it warmed me up from the inside out. The wait staff was really kind and they gave us free mint tea. Super fluffy bread! 10/10 for me!

This lovely restaurant near the old harbour is really welcoming and relaxing. The food was absolutely superb. The chicken tagine was the best I've ever had, and the portions were extremely generous. Great service. I highly recommend and this place would be top of my...list to go to on any return to Reykjavik. Also in a city with very expensive restaurants, this was slightly less expensive than some.More

The food and the service here was fantastic. We stepped in from the snow and instantly felt like we were in Morocco. The food was warming, delicious and some of the best we had in Iceland. We hope to visit again one day.
