Be sure to make a reservation because they are busy. Our meals were excellent one of the best meals of our trip to Iceland. Be sure to try the rye bread ice cream. Their made-in-house, unique rye bread is delicious with a meal but equally...More

We came here for lunch after visiting Hallgrimskirkja and we were so happy to find a nice restaurant with traditional Icelandic eats. They have combos with different options like smoked fish, head cheese, and shark.

It is right across the street from the famous church, Hallgrimskirkja so is conveniently situated. The typical Icelandic breakfast of rye bread or a rusk with some sort of topping like eggs and herring, was just OK. There was an unfortunate blonde hair incident, but...More

We really enjoyed ourselves on both occasions that we stopped into Cafe Loki for both a meal and dessert with tea. We highly recommend the ryebread ice cream and Loki tea. The staff is also incredibly friendly!

So....coming from England, everything in Iceland seems expensive. Therefore finding a local cafe style restaurant which is not overpriced yet solid/tasty seems to soften the blow somewhat. We had the Icelandic Meat Soup-good hearty fayre but nothing exceptional. The smoked lamb platter (including a small...More

This cafe was our first experience dining in Iceland so we initially thought it was pricey but actually it was an average price we paid. We had traditional Icelandic food and some bagels we paid close to 5k crowns (50 USD)...it was all very tasty...More

Their ice cream with rye bread bits in it is delicious. Try it if you like rich flavour or simply want to try a different kind of ice cream.

Reykjavik is not the best city for parking. Most of it is street parking, and you'll need to buy a permit at the kiosk. If you're not impaired, walking is usually faster and less frustrating.

Cafe Loki offer Icelandic meat soup, Icelandic plate, homemade bread and cakes. Icelandic traditional homemade dishes are our specialty. You can taste fermented shark and dried fish but Icelandic meat soup and our Icelandic plates are most popular among the Rye Ice cream and Skyr cake. Beautiful view over Reykjavik, Hallgrimskirkja church and to mountain Blafjoll. Icelandic food.
