I don't know if you have to pay to get a smile but people there just didn't seem to care for the customer and/or even enjoy working at Sandholt. So far, customer service doesn't seem to be strong in Iceland but for the price we...More

Went to Sandholt Bakery on the advice of a fellow traveler and liked it so much we returned three times during our stay in Reykjavik. Wonderful flaky pastries and coffee specialties but also try their homemade sodas and sandwiches!

We got some delicious bread here, as well as pastries. They also sell sandwiches so it's a good stop for lunch.

Everything is so good here, the bread & pastries, desserts, coffee... the perfect spot to stop for breakfast. Very busy but worth the wait. Good friendly service.
