We found this gem of a restaurant by chance and were so glad we did. The burgers are amazing with stunning attention to detail. The staff are really friendly and helpful. One dessert you must try is the astronauts cake. It has to be one of the best puddings I've ever tasted!

This place had a good range of burgers and these guys will tailor them to suit your requirements. It's like the Icelandic version of Handmade Burger Comapny. The portions are huge, especially, the starter nachos which could feed 4 people very easily... Well worth a visit for the relaxed style of dining this place offers during a stay in Reykjavik.

We visit beautiful exotic Iceland at least once a year and try to visit Hamborgarafabrikkan a couple of times on every visit. Located between the great Laugadal outdoor swimmingpool and the city centre it is the ideal place to enjoy lunch after swimming. The food is very good, the service excellent and the Skyr (cheese) cake is my favorite cheesecake.... More

Having had a hugely satisfying burger at the Akureyri branch on a previous visit and seeing their name mentioned in glowing terms in Ed Hancox’s splendid “Iceland Defrosted” book, I was determined to seek out a burger at one of their Reykjavik outposts during my Airwaves weekend. So, when there was a suitable break in the music itinerary, I followed... More

We were staying at the Fosshotel Reykjavik so after a long day travelling this restaurant was a great find! We were able to cut through the courtyard of our hotel to the restaurant and even though it was very busy and we hadn't pre-booked we were seated within 5 minutes. We enjoyed our burgers which we doubled up on and... More

This is a great restaurant with great views, and top notch service. They have crazy combinations of burgers (beef, lamb, etc.) and the desserts are really good. The service was attentive and friendly. Price was very reasonable, especially if you got the special of the week. Give this place a shot, you won't regret it.

My third time at the Hamborgarafabrikkan - the quality is ok. Very family minded restaurant but not for candlelight dinner. A wide selection of burgers for all taste buds.

This restaurant supplies the best hamburger that I have ever eaten. I chose the burger of the day which came complete with a fried egg on the top along with the fries and the various fillings it was indeed an enormous amount of food. Because it was a celebration we had a shared starter, which enabled us to taste some... More

Quick service, clean establishment and super friendly staff. One of the waitresses explained that the burger of the day is 500 ISK cheaper and enthusiastically discussed with us about Iceland, life, work, studying etc (thank you (girl from Kosovo))

PLEASED TO "MEAT" YOU Ok. You're in Iceland. Probably not for the first time. Not something you do every year, right? You will probably bathe in the Blue Lagoon and take a road trip to Gullfoss and Geysir. That's all well and good. But neither is something you eat. That's why we have 15 brilliant and creative hamburgers at the Hamburger Factory. And they are all perfectly square. Made from 100% fresh high-quality ingredients, directly from Icelandic nature. The Hamburger Factory is Iceland's most innovative gourmet burger chain. Packed with burger-craving customers since its opening in 2010, among the regulars is Iceland's best known fisherman, Eric Clapton. We have three wonderful restaurants in Iceland. The mothership opened in 2010 on the groundfloor of the highest tower in Reykjavík, right opposite Höfdi house. Our second one is in Akureyri, the capital of the north. It opened in 2013 on the groundfloor of the historic Hotel Kea in the heart of the town's center. The third one opened in the spring of 2014 in Icelander's favorite shopping mall, Kringlan. Be sure to stop by before you leave. You will love it. And we will love you back. BE SQUARE AND BE THERE!
