Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

While Baka Baka has a wide menu, we were there for mid-afternoon coffee and pastries. Neither disappointed. My Swiss Mocha was not too sweet. My Vinarbraud was a Danish delight. Service was friendly, if a bit harried. The space is friendly-feeling, though very crowded (and...with some mis-swagged lights that can make getting up from the table a bit dangerous). Overall, I hope we pass by again at the right time, because that was delish.More

Great little coffee shop with gourmet baked goods. We tried a variety of pastries, all delicious and high quality. Not cheap but worth it.

First restaurant in Reykjavik to disappoint. We had the meatballs, BakaBaka pizza, and two cocktails. Everything was average, but not good. Service was very slow. Was difficult to get anyone’s attention. Tables seated after us got their pizza sooner. Would not go back.

Went twice once for pastry and once for pizza, both experiences equally great. Pastries are individual to here and different enough from the other known patry places to be a stop also. We did pizza to go in the evening, dough for crust was different...than places I have been too, very light and tasty, toppings were just enough and interesting combinations. Highly recommend supper there too.More

Bakery by day, pizzeria by night, both outstanding. Fantastic pizza, quick service although the small restaurant was full. Staff were very friendly and found us a table although we had to wait for a few minutes - well worth the wait. Definitely worth a visit.

Exceptional! Thank you Arni and team for a brilliant last night in Iceland. Pizza was awesome - best ever maybe?! The whole atmosphere - including the playlist of course! - just perfect. 👌 To whoever you are that owns bakabaka: you need to hand it...over to Arni - he’s killing it for you!More

We went here twice! Our first visit we went around 5:30-6pm and had amazing pizza! For four adults we split 3 pizzas and it was more than enough food! Our second visit was in the morning, we just got coffee and some pastries. So good,...highly recommend!More

A small bakery in a little building in the centre of Reykjavik, serving up a tasty selection of pastries and larger meals. The breakfasts were brilliant too. We visited several times during our few days in Reykjavik, the pastries and friendly staff were that good!

The breakfast here is exceptional! The bacon was smoky and sweet, the eggs were creamy, and it was all served in a croissant! The coffees were excellent, and the cinnamon roll and vanilla cream donut were delicious. Service was really quick and staff were very...friendly and welcoming, which only enhanced the experience.More

What review. Plain and simple if you want to feel discriminated; go to Baka Baka, and ask for Blanz and her condescending manager. I Asked for a table and I was told that none were available. We were offered to sit at the bar. Very...next customer was seated and the two after them were also seated at their requested tables. ( they were locals and we were not). They don’t take reservations either, so it was not a misunderstanding. Never felt so ashamed in my life. It ruined a lovely Iceland experience and turn it into a family argument. Unless you want to be TREATED LIKE HUMAN GARBAGE… don’t waist your time and avoid Baka Baka.More

I don’t know. They treat us poorly and in bad faith… that we didn’t venture to stay and find out! Not recommending this place for business
