Well made cappuccino and a good blueberry muffin. We stopped by after lunch, and the cafe was fairly crowded on a Wednesday afternoon in late March. Especially appreciated the rich chocolate flakes available near the sugar and cream, which made for a fun addition to...More

Really good coffee with some unique flavoring, like chili. I'm a local and this is one of my favorites.

This a a nice coffee you, used by both locals and tourists. I don't drink coffee, but my friend who was adamant about trying their coffee said the coffee was better than the Starbucks coffee in the states so I'm guessing that's a good thing.

We had coffie and a very delicious sweet patatoe soup with fresh bread and some traditional Chapati! The price is very fair and definitely a 'to do' in Reykjavic. The owner is most friendly and nice to talk to. Thanks, see you next time

Really nice little cafe in the centre of Reykjavik. We stopped for a chilled out hour, had the most delicious sweet potato soup served by the very attentive owner who showed me the spices needed to make it at home. Lovely coffee too.

Description
Kigali Kaffi is a small non-chain cafe off the main street of Laugarvegur in Reykjavik Iceland (Ingolfsstraeti 8) which was acquired on November 22nd, 2013 and subsequently opened officially on January 27th, 2014 by a rwandan born Mr Augustin Dufatanye. The mission of this tiny little shop has been to import fresh green coffee beans from the volcanic hills of Western Rwanda where the farmers' cooperative is predominantly composed of women, due to the horrific genocide that wiped a large number of men, thus facilitating a trade model that sits on a "farmer-to-customer" brand with the echoing slogan of: "Best for you - best for me". The response from this project has not only brought clients in the Nordic hemisphere to the unique coffee taste of the Great-Lakes region of Africa, but it has increasingly contributed to the awareness of a fast developing African nation that only two decades ago was lying on the ruins of her shattered social fabric.
