11 of us went here for lunch, and the food was really good. The sandwiches were done with homemade bread and packed to capacity. Served with chips and side salad they were filling. Can't wait to try their evening menu The service was excellent, couldn't fault it

We had an enjoyable meal with friends on a cold January evening. We had booked but were the only people in the restaurant for a while although the bar area was busy. The main menu has some good choices and there are also daily specials. Three of us ordered from the specials menu and I ordered from the Small Plate... More

Had dinner on Friday night. Great food very well presented ( 50% of your appreciation of food is through your eyes) Good fairly priced wine list and friendly staff. Really recommend either the steaks (which we had a couple of weeks ago) or the fish which chnages almost daily. On Friday I had an excellent pan fried sea bass which... More

I was taken here for a recent birthday lunch and the venue was even better than my last visit. Very attentive and courteous service from new staff and regular staff. Good range of wines on offer with a lovely selection of seasonal dishes to tempt the palate. I only had 2 courses as the portions are so generous. Lovely to... More

The pubs stairs are a bit run down but the toilets were clean. Ideal for family meals and local socials.

Fabulous meal on Christmas Eve, our compliments to the Chef for the beautiful food he produced and to darling Rosie for being her usual self, the food here won't be beaten anywhere in the local area. We don't need an excuse to eat here, we've always had first class food, even when we just pop in for a pub lunch.... More

Went here for my husbands birthday on a steak night, he had the Tbone steak which was cooked well, I went for the fillet steak with gorgonzola and wrapped in bacon. So, the waitress said it would be medium, it came out rare....did I say rare? I meant raw...as in a good vet could have got it started again....I was... More

I have always enjoyed this pub for the beer drinking aspects but the food in the restaurant section is a real revelation. Really top draw standard gastronomy with excellent service at a reasonable price for the standard of food.
