A rooftop location at the citadel with beautiful views if you sit outside. The atmosphere is convivial, and the menu is fairly extensive. The service was efficient, if a little distant. The salads and cheese were delicious and hearty. The inside tables are crowded and it is difficult to access the tiny bathroom.

Avoid the place for eating. It's ok for having a drink. Let me separate the things: - FOOD: cannot be worse, frozen pizza burnt into the microwaves, all the rest disgusting, if you really have to eat here, pick the simplest things in the menu. - LOCATION: great, very bice view, ambiance. - STAFF: nice, kind, nothing to complain, totally... Visited the citadella in Gozo and this is definitely recommended especially since it's upgrade and really excellent rehabilitation ... are a quick lunch at San Martino and was very pleasantly surprised by the service the good and the place itself - great deep fried gozitan cheese and very good chicken kebabs and panina washed down with a cold beer ..... When walking around the citadella we needed some lunch and so we decided to have a sit at San Martino. And what a good decision it was.. we were recommended the daily special and it was perfect...! The view from this place is magnificent, the staff is so nice and warm. Definitely a high light of our day!!

One of the 2 eateries in the Old Town, bound to be a tourist trap. View and weather were beautiful; service was good, and food - with copious salad was adequate. No VAT receipts!

Typical tourist trap! The lamb tasted awful, full of bones. The pizza tasted like an awfully done frozen pizza. No bill given, a guy collects cash and I'm sure he did not add up correctly and over charged us! Its appalling that they are allowed to be operating at the citadella. Most of the things we found at Gozo was... More

We had visited this place years ago and hoped that with the renovations this restaurant had also improved. What were we thinking !?!? This was led by an arrogant owner manager who didn't have any manners and did nothing but arrogantly boss his staff around and try to manage the whole place instead of ensuring a pleasant experience for his... This seems like a typical tourist trap. There was very slow service with one staff member running the place and others helping out with waiting and serving. The food was bland and forgetful - margherita pizza was like a microwave pizza but the traditional Maltese cheese pastry was better. Prices were comparable to other places in Gozo but I'd suggest... I went there for lunch and ordered a "seasonal, local fish" called lampuki. Within half an hour of eating there, I had to go to hospital with a swollen lip and a red rash covering my whole body. It was diagnosed as Scombroid food poisoning which is caused by spoiled fish. Reviews on goggle suggest that I am not the... More

We found this place whilst visiting the Citadel in Victoria on Gozo My wife had the mussels with bruschetta and salad while I opted for deep fried goat's cheese with local cheese bread, bruschetta and salad We had to wait quite a while whilst they were being cooked but this was no problem, we had drinks in the sunshine over...
