We rented a refurbished farmhouse a block away from this place and found ourselves craving dinner here almost every day we spent on Gozo. The owner is super nice... makes his own wine and puts a lot of love in his food. Service is a little slow but you basically have one guy taking your order, preparing it and cooking... More

Excellent food served in a traditional setting - owner has old authentic pizza oven. The rabbit stew was fantastic, full of flavour with huge portions of herby potatoes and vegetables. The red wine had been made in their own vineyard and although sold as the house red was delicious. Couldn't manage desserts as we were so full. Highly recommended.

Myself and a friend dined here 3 times in a single weeks holidays it was so good. Amazing food, local ingredients even the wine is home made by the owner! It is a unique experience to see the old stone oven fully operational, their bread is the best I've ever tasted. It is always buzzing with locals and tourists, couples... More

I have been lucky enough to have dined here on a few occasions now, and can honestly say that the food, albeit it large portions, is truly delicious! My personal favourite is the rabbit spaghetti, each time I've ordered it, it is exactly the same, consistency being the most important role of a great restaurant. If you are looking for... More

This restaurant is the best meal I have had in gozo. The surroundings are not as good as the main square, however in comparison for food quality, the square restaurants would appear that they are pretty without substance. The food appeared to be authentic, the owners appear to be true foodies, making their own wine and "firewater". The staff are... More

I simply loved the traditional pizza at Tal-Furnar, staff members are delightful and welcoming, additionally the food is great value for money. I would suggest this place to anyone who wishes to have a taste of some good traditional Gozitan food. I just can't wait to go back!

Having read reviews and seen how busy it is (you do need to book), I was a bit underwhelmed by the experience. We had the rabbit, chicken and a pizza, all of which were very tasty and plentiful. The service was 'ok' - a little slow but we put that down to the type of dishes. Fries ordered on the... More

Went here 2 times for dinner in a week and really enjoyed both. As mentioned in other reviews, portions are huge. For 2 of us, we shared a starter both times, ordered 1 regular main and a starter size pasta for the other main, then shared a dessert. And were stuffed full at the end. I was a little sad... More

We went there twice with the same satisfaction each time. We discovered some typical dishes like the bragioli. This is a delicious familial dish, full of flavours but the portions are ENORMOUS! The second time, we came for the "Pig's Night" where they cook in the oven a whole pig and you eat spicy sausages as a starter before being... More

We tried Tal-Furnar based on the reviews here and it was a pretty good choice as we were craving for local dishes. We love Malta, been travelling many times here and take as many opportunities to taste Maltese flavours. We went for dinner on Friday the 25th of July 2014, the bus stopped in front of the restaurant and we... More
