Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The restaurant wasn't even our first choice for lunch. We stopped at a cafe because they have a nice outdoor terrace. After talking with the friendly waitress, we just decided to have lunch. The right decision. The fish soup was superb. The risotto was interesting,...for which we could not figure out what gives it such a dark green color. Superb ambience. Helpful and friendly staff. They deserve a Michelin.More

Since it was not our first time and we're always satisfied, my husband booked my birthday dinner there. We ordered an aperitive. When we asked for the prices of the fish, immediately the service turned sour and we felt judged. As soon as I asked...for the starter the waiter told me, you do know it's €19.50?, which was really rude as we felt he insinuated that it's expensive for us. Same for when we asked for vegetables rather than salad, he said, you do know there is an extra charge? We felt it was a bad vibe as the table next to us was constantly checked upon and nobody came to us once to refill the drink, to check how the food was, not even a smile, etc... For the price you pay, you expect a beautiful experience and it was far from that. We couldn't wait to leave actually.More

Stopped by here for lunch during our 3-day visit to Malta. Even though we didn’t have a reservation, the manager happily accommodated us and got us a table within 30 mins. We had the fish tartare and oysters to start with. I would skip the...oysters as the price didn’t justify the quality. The fish tartare was excellent, with fresh chunks of fish. For the entree, we picked out a beautiful snapper and had it salt-baked. The meat was so tender and fresh. The restaurant was bustling, so service was a bit slow at times. Overall, our experience was great, and the meal was delicious at this Michelin Guide restaurant.More

We booked for noon and the staff were professional and friendly. We shared a Maltese soup and ordered the fish for a main course. 1 seabass for 2 people and another catch of the day for one. We selected the fish from a selection and...the waitress was really helpful at explaing items on the menu. We were given complimentary delicious bread with local olive oil. The soup was delicious. The Maltese red wine I selected was very nice. The main course was simple but wonderful with a butter sauce which was perfect. We all enjoyed a lovely meal with great service. Will be going back for sure.More

Situated at the marsaxlok fish market, this restaurant offers fresh delicious fish from the catch of the day. You select the fish you want to eat from the display rolled at your table, specify how you like it done and enjoy a glass of wine...and excellent fried calamaris while your fish is prepared. We ordered sea bass baked in coarse salt and a grilled hake. After twenty minutes our waiter came back and proceeded breaking the crust of salt and filetting the bass into portions that were served with excellent potatoes and a fresh salad. Both fish were very good although the hake in salt crust was a clear winner. Very recommended. The market by the way is disappointing. Except for several fish stores at the first 20 meters, the rest of the market is an endless store after store of the same souvenirs and chinese jujaws. Skip the pastries. They are industrial and of poor quality and expensive (8€ for an inedible tasteless pastry) The strawberries, if you come in may, are incredibly good.More

One of our favourite restaurants. Mine Host welcomes us warmly when we visit. He runs a great business with his brother the chef. Service is impeccable. There is always a great choice of fresh fish. I particularly like the starters, tasty prawn ravioli or fish...tartar. Fish always cooked to perfection.More

Excellent service, excellent food and seriously good value. We went at lunchtime on a Sunday when the small port is hit by 7000 tourists for the market. You will definitely need to book and this restaurant is a cool and relaxed oasis from the throngs...outside. We had a fish tartlet snack to begin followed by a risotto starter and grilled sea bream to finish. Everything was delicious and perfectly cooked and the staff were helpful and friendly. Book it!More

This place looks like a regular seafood restaurant but the food is out of this world. Japanese, swedish and Maltese influences come together for a truly wonderful dining experience. It's Michelin rated but the food quality is better than some one star restaurants I've dined...at. Not to be missed.More
