I went to this restaurant recommended by a friend who has lived in MALTA for several years. As soon as I entered I noticed a characteristic, familiar environment, like home, welcomed by the kindness and hospitality of the two ladies (one from Veneto, the other from Tuscany) in the room. Let's take a matriciana and a carbonara. As soon as the dishes arrived I said "what a beautiful sight" yes because they are generous dishes and I found the pasta to be perfectly cooked and with every forkful I rediscovered the flavors of home. What to say ? Compliments !! Well done!!! I highly recommend this business which also has the famous "Subpinza Roman" chain both in La Valleta, in San Giuliano and at the airport, a pinsa which I have tasted twice and which I highly recommend......we will see you next year and I can only encourage you to continue like this because you eat very well and spend the right amount!!!!

During our visit to this restaurant, be sure to try the pasta – it was perfectly prepared, with a wonderfully balanced sauce. The tiramisu dessert is an absolute gem! Creamy, with a subtle coffee flavor and perfectly balanced sweetness, it ends the meal with an unforgettable taste. Additionally, the waiter Pepe was very helpful and friendly – quick to serve and impressed us with his professionalism, creating a great atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

This is my second review I have changed my mind ! A top waiter outside came to greet us he said you can eat outside but it may rain again . He seen that we was with our son . He said wait here a minute he quickly went inside and came back out & said we have a private area as we could have it till 7pm givi giving us two hours which was long enough that is 100% customer service ! Our seating area was amazing in a rustic Maltease & Italian charm ! Our waiter was amazing we asked questions about the food and he was very helpful! They won an award for their pasta they delivered! Rigatoni carbonara , cacio e Pepe , Arrabiata, pasta Al dente to perfection. Pasta served at the right temperature & presentation on the plate amazing! We have been twice here and it’s amazing! Different staff tonight which worked very tonight & very friendly to our son !

On Recommendation of friends, we reserve a table for 4. They make us sit on the tables outside the room, on the pedestrian avenue, on a slope (quite a slope). We ask to be able to sit inside mostly because of the heat, losing to be able to enjoy the air conditioning, but you can not (the tables inside are set and at the end of the evening we discover that then inside other diners have had dinner – I specify that the explanation given was simply “you can not”, and not that maybe the internal tables had been booked).
We order 2 supplì and another appetizer (which I don't remember now). 2 portions out of 3 arrive, with an apology for the mistake/forgetfulness. Shortly after comes the missing third. For the record then, at late dinner, another supplì will arrive. Evidently, the waiting staff did not speak communicating that the missing in the meantime had been delivered. The extra supplì we sent back.
In general, even looking at the other tables, the waitstaff service seemed confused and unorganized.
We order 1 cheese and pepper, 1 carbonara, 2 amatriciane, 1 bottle of Rosso Verona IGT from Masi Campofiorin. We came here spontaneously for lunch at 3pm and we were greeted very kindly. We were seated right away and received our drinks within less than 5 minutes and starters came a couple of minutes after the drinks. Our food came when we were done with our starters and everything tasted unbelievably good! Andrea and his colleagues were very lovely and we would absolutely recommend this place to everyone because of the hospitality, prices, location and of course the food, drinks and dessert!

Fabulous place to eat before attending a concert at the Manoel Theatre as part of the Valletta Baroque Music Festival. Michele gave me a warm welcome and quickly found me a table. The staff have something like ‘We only speak a little English but we make a great carbonara’ on the back of their t-shirts and a bowl of carbonara appealed to me. It was extremely good. I asked what desserts were homemade and a list was given, including tiramisu - either original or pistachio. The lovely waitress told me her personal favourite was pistachio and I went with that. It was sublime. A wonderful hour spent here before the concert. I highly recommend this place. Italian cooking at its best! And they all spoke very good English!

My friend came here because he heard from a classmate that the carbonara was delicious and said he definitely wanted to go. After reading the reviews, it seemed like you couldn't get in without a reservation, so I made a reservation as soon as it opened. We arrived at 2pm.

Pieter 👌 One of Malta's most authentic Italian restaurants, it tastes so amazing that it's eaten three times without stepping on thunder. Location typical Roman trattoria, but we are in Valletta, already see and hear all the staff speak in Italian, very friendly, makes you feel at home. If for some reason your reservation has been lost and you are stuffed into a small area that doubles as an overflow dining room where the placements of the wall decorations appear to have been altered by recent earthquakes and if the waiting service is slow and perfunctory, then this place is just for you. After a satifactory main course, we gave up waiting to be asked about a dessert and instead requested the bill. The desire for a tiramisu had left: shortly afterwards we left too.

Great italian restaurant with a perfect hosting. We had carbonara it was very good and also I would recommend trying their wines because it has very good taste and good prizing also.

What a delightful little find and the food is to die for! We stumbled across this little place when walking around Valletta. What stood out, is that it didn’t have all the touristy signs outside and clearly locals were enjoying the food as well as the likes of us. We ate here twice during our 5 day stay as the food was so fantastic. The pasta is cooked fresh and the staff (Erica/Mauro) were very attentive. Would highly recommend. I am so glad we stumbled upon this little gem of a restaurant! Will be recommending to anyone who visits Valletta. Thank you!!
