From the moment you arrive, you are made to feel like you have been invited into the family home. Please don't accept the invite if you are expecting a menu, a choice of wine, or a quick visit. You are there for the evening, to be treated as long lost friends. What you can expect is some of the best... More

I, like everyone else had read the reviews and thought I would book as a surprise for my boyfriend while we where visiting the area. We were not disappointed. I had emailed Damien via Facebook and his replies where warm and quick. On the night we were greeted by George at the door who made as feel so welcome, it... More

Fabulous meal. Met at the door by the owner George, who explained that the food we would be having is a Meze, typical Cypriot dishes. If we wanted chips we were in the wrong place!! The meal came out with a selection of dips and home made bread, which were all delicious. Although in hindsight we wish we hadn't eaten... More

Superb food, no menu, but always asked if you have any allergies and then the surprises keep coming out! All locally produced and organic, including the wine. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed everything there. Food was delivered and you would love it if you are vegetarian or not. Atmosphere is great. Extremely nice people. I would definitely recommend to get there. But you would need to have time to enjoy it. We had to rush as our 5 months old was crying, but the best thing would be to stay... More

I first visited 7 St. George's Tavern 8 years ago and though I loved it, I haven't had the opportunity to visit again until now. It didn't disappoint at all - the food and service was still as good as the first time and the concept remains the same - they feed you delicious traditional meze dishes until you burst!... More

You come here to enjoy their Meze. Nice "rural" atmosphere. Casual, yet attentive service. Apparently they grow their own organic ingredients and the cook sure knows how to use them properly. Make sure to leave some room for desert and a coffee. The popularity of the place is well-deserved.

This restaurant serves good food with organically sourced and home grown ingredients. Has been visited by many other well known chefs. Extremely popular as it gives diners a chance to taste many dishes. Run by the charming George and his son. Best visiting in summer to dine under the grape vines.

If you like trying new tastes - this is a place for you. You get served a great selection if impeccably cooked dishes. While you don't get to choose what you get, the owners will accommodate for your preferences/dietary requests. Some random notes: - If you want fish meze, make sure to book 24h in advance. - We came with... More

Description
It should be noticed that the establishment is a very traditional one, in more ways than appearance. It is an old building of stone and wood. The two dining rooms are decorated with antiques and items from the old household of rural Cyprus. The garden is very pleasant with flowers and herbs growing all around it.

The food is traditional and seasonal. We cook everything that can grow in Cyprus, basing a lot of our food on traditional dishes, and wild vegetables, picked by ourselves. We serve Meze, which traditionally means delicate taste, and in Cyprus it is used to mean a variety of delicacies. A typical meze at the 7 St Georges will start with salad and between 6-10 appetizers, this will differ every night but may include, homegrown olives, cured meats, dips and pickles. The meze will continue with a variety of traditional and some times contemporary meat and vegetable dishes. We use only the best meats to provide mouthwatering roasts and succulent casseroles, you can expect to enjoy our now well known Kleftico (lamb or beef on the bone cooked in sealed ovens, succulent) and a vegetarians delight of vegetable dishes, depending on the season they will include, rice stuffed marrow flowers, bumyas (ochra) cooked in a tomato and mint sauce, black eyed beans with home grown marrow, tomato fritters, cheese and vegetable pies. The meze will be about 20 dishes, depending how much one can eat, expect to be surprised and delighted at the array of dishes that will be brought to you over the meal (expect to be eating for about 2 hours), at the 7 St Georges we serve quality food in an informal and comfortable setting, take your time and enjoy the experience.
