Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fabulous lunch, really enjoyed it. It was lovely to sit outside and people watch those on the promenade as well as enjoy the sea views. We both ordered the chicken souvlaki which was served with a small salad and was really good. We enjoyed a...bottle of rose from the local Vouni Panayia winery which wasn't cheap at 29 euros but was lovely. Service was very good and the bill came to 65 euros including service and a bottle of water - really nice.More

This was some of the best food we have ever had in our many visits to Cyprus; it is easy to understand why booking is essential. The location by the sea is great, and you can see the sunset. The staff are friendly and helpful,...especially Maria. And the food was brilliant; the fish was lovely, the beef in a stifado sauce was exceptionally good, and the wines were good quality and reasonably priced. We went twice, and this will certainly be our top choice restaurant next time we visit PaphosMore

We ate at the restaurant by the sea in the evening . Firstly, we couldn’t read the menu, tiny print and very poor lighting, had to use mobile phones with torches. We have small appetites so ordered small meals- even though the menu didn’t say...that. We had Halloumi with a very nice salsa, whitebait and roasted vegetables. The whitebait was bitter and unpleasant- even the cat in the restaurant wasn’t keen. The veg were ok. The waiting staff were very nice, but food didn’t come out together. Halloumi first, whitebait at least 5 mins later, then veg after another wait. Definitely will not return, we didn’t bother with dessert.More

We were staying at a different hotel but came across this restaurant which is in a perfect position on the sea front. You need to book if you want to eat there late but if you turn up earlier you can easily get a table...and watch the sun go down. Staff were really lovely, made us feel very welcome. Food was beautiful, fresh and delicious. Wine and cocktails were great too with an excellent selection of non-alcoholic cocktails. Thoroughly recommend if you are visiting Paphos.More

The food was painfully average. We ordered the mixed meze for two people and it was beyond disappointing. Firstly we were unable to substitute the lamb for any seafood (apparently the kitchen isn’t able to put meat and fish on the same plate.) The salad...was dry and bland, nothing like a traditional salad. It was bulked up with dry lettuce leaves. The meat was also extremely dry and tasteless. The timing of it was terrible, everyone had finished eating and 20 minutes later they brought out more food. To top it all off the lamps on the tables give off the worst smell of gas.More

We visited for lunch and then went back for dinner and have booked to go again. Amazingly warm, friendly and efficient staff. Food is tasty and not very expensive. Its location is away from the general seafront / harbour area which is busy with constant...harassment to eat at the various establishments so it’s nice to go somewhere a little quieter. It feels special because it’s cute and is right by the sea. We go back tomorrow!More

This beautiful little restaurant/Taverna is a gem of a find, situated on the seafront just outside the hustle and bustle of pathos town, makes for the perfect destination if you are looking for authentic Cypriot/Greek cuisine. The food and ambience are both authentic and beautiful,...the staff are attentive but unobtrusive, the food is amazing we had a village salad, tzatziki to share with calamari and chicken souvlaki , which was more than enough, as the portion sizes are very generous. The atmosphere was very relaxed with live music adding to the overall experience, if you are looking for authentic cuisine with a relaxed atmosphere and great value for money you really should try Ouzeris, you won’t be disappointed.More

Having passed this restaurant several times during our stay and then reading the good reviews we were very much looking forward to eating here. We ordered cold and hot sharing dishes expecting as per other reviews that these would be served at intervals however several...waiter's descended on us all at once with the entire order meaning that our hot dishes were left to get cold in what was a breezy evening. Maybe our fault for not checking when ordering but seemed as though turning tables was a priority on this particular evening. The table next to ours seemed to be being served at a more leisurely pace A real shame as the food is very good but we will stick to our hotel restaurant for the remainder of our stay.More

Excellent cypriot food, lovely location right by the water, and FAULTLESS service. I am the last person to go to the hotel restaurant for dinner, but our friends convinced us Almyra’s Ouzeri was worth it. We went three nights in a row, it was so...delicious - but also because of Maria, I think she is the maitre‘d and she took care of us each night. Maria is simply flawless and masterful at what she does - I just dont know how to describe it. We relinquished all control over our meals to her, and she curated fabulous, varied, delicious, perfectly proportioned dining experiences for us every night, including perfect wine pairings, and even a dessert once that another waiter commented on with approval as he randomly walked past! Ive never experienced anyone as accomplished as her in a restaurant before and I doubt I will again - she made all our meals unforgettable and we are still talking about them and her astounding taste and impressive professionalism, days later. Maria deserves a promotion or at least a raise! But even if you aren’t fortunate enough to have Maria look after you, my friends and I whole-heartedly recommend dinner at Ouzeri without hesitation!More

Absolute best place we have eaten in Paphos (and many other places). Its a beautiful setting right on the coastal path by the water. We came back many times due to the delicious food and the friendly service. Food is greek style and extremely well cooked,...fresh and a good variety. They menu is meant to be approached as if you are ordering a Mezze style meal. So order some dips to go with the breadbasket that is provided, a few cold dishes/salad, a hot dish or some seafood and share...food comes when its ready, normally some dips and salads or smaller dishes first to enjoy whilst the fresh fish or lamb/beef is cooking. We greatly enjoyed many dishes but especially the rocket salad, chickpea salad, whole sea bream and sea bass, the steak, stuffed wine leaves and the calamari. I could go on... Prices are good and I would say better value and quality than most of the restaurants at Paphos harbour. At this restaurant you can taste they care about what they cook in the kitchen and for you as a customer. Staff here look after you with welcoming, friendly and efficient hospitality.More

We walked past here most nights, and decided to book a table for one of the last nights of the holiday. It’s a beautiful spot right on the front, with great views of the sunset! I had the steak, which was cooked perfect. Very tender....The kids menu was limited, my daughter ordered the chicken skewer and it was quite dry. My wife got the calamari but didn’t like the dip, they didn’t have any replacement dips, so gave her hummus instead, resulting in her leaving a lot of it. Staff were good, and the lady who greeted us remembered our names from the booking. A nice touch. The steak was 5* in my opinionMore
