We have been coming to Cyprus for decades - and have had great dining experiences- however this place is one of the worst we have come across The food was really poor quality - one dish was so bad we left 95% of it -the...rest of the dishes were really poor Why would you serve a salad in a dinner plate ? We almost left before we even ordered - I should have known betterMore

In the heart of paralimni and on a nice corner in the old part of the town gives this restaurant an appealing and welcoming look. We ordered a fish platter for two and what was served was not what was described on the menu. We...expected local fish and a mixture. We were served grilled king prawns…obviously bought from the local supermarket, some mussels that tasted almost off and to mask the dated shellfish the sauce was awful that was put over them. The rest was some small pieces of fish with batter and deep fried. The salad was far from being a Greek salad and the bread was stale. The lady who served us was very welcoming and nice, her husband was very miserable and we felt uncomfortable to ask for anything. All in all not a restaurant to take friends or family to. Food was below standard to say the least.More

Once again Maria pulled out all the stops to make our last family meal in Cyprus perfect. The food was delicious and my daughter said her Sword fish was the best meal of the holiday.. The service as usual was amazing. Thank you

We paid a very overdue visit with Girls to Kanati and after eating a beautiful meal will definitely not be waiting so long for our next visit. Lovely friendly welcome from Maria the Host and we sat with drinks to check out the Menu for...our Meal Choices. Good full Menu will exceptionally good Prices in these tough times, so we’ll done The Kanati Team. Choices were difficult but finally we ordered Lamb Chops, Lamb Kleftico, Lord Mayors Favourite Chicken, Chef’s Chicken all served with Potatoes & Vegetables plus Sausages, Chips & Cucumber for the Grand-Daughter. Generous portions and very very tasty. Definitely worth a visit.More

Lovely taverna hidden away in Paralimni, lovely, couple who speak good English, very attentive, remembered us from last year, it was quiet when we arrived but a few people came which helps with the atmosphere.,only issue is it's on a corner so the traffic is rushing...past as Cypriots don't drive slowly. Food was excellent, served well and plenty of it,lovely atmosphere, we had salmon and salad it was beautifulMore

Beautiful little tavern in the heart of Paralimni. Traditional Cypriot food served by cordially inviting hosts. The family loved this place and promised to return.

Stumbled across this beautiful hidden gem on a recent visit. From the warm and friendly welcome to the quick and efficient service there was nothing to complain about , fresh excellent food cooked to order Highly recommend

If you are in Paralimni and wish to go back in time from a Tavern point of view then Kanati may well satisfy. Lovely old place decked out in the traditional Blue n White. The owners are always on site and Maria is Mine Host...at the front of house. Good size Menu at a reasonable price and a few things you don’t find on many other menus. We all enjoyed our food choices - Chefs Chicken, Lamb Tavas, Kleftico and Chicken Kebab with Chips & Cucumber for the Grand-Daughter. All freshly prepared and mouth-wateringly tasty. Lovely last evening with our holidaying girls.More

Went to Paralimni on the bus and clearly went down the wrong street looking for somewhere else when we came across Kanati, the oldest taverna in town, on the corner of a busy street but it was like stepping back in time, so quaint and...old,fashioned. We were served quickly by a lovely Cypriot lady who spoke great English, helpful and advised on what was not available. Cypriots visited again always a bonus if they eat there. Cheap prices and great food what more could, you want in the middle of the town definitely, worth s visit but don't expect five star Lovely little find.More

We were staying in near by Protaras and travelled into Paralimni to get away from the over priced touristy restaurants! This restaurant did not disappoint! We had a meat meze and it was beautiful! The meat was cooked fresh and was ooozing with flavour! The...owner chatted with us for ages; a lovely authentic experience! HIGHLY recommend for a Greek Cypriot meal!More

Group of five called in without a booking and were seated immediately. Service was very friendly and prompt. Good choices on the menu. Food was excellent. We will be back.

Great to be back after two years!! Food is delicious with a traditional style. Service is always 5 star and Maria and the team do a fab job! This is our favourite taverna on the island and will come back.

Disappointed with the food. Dolmades were sloppy and overcooked. Moussaka under seasoned. Calamari chewy and pork souvla tough

The food is not as terrible the cold hosting! Very strange behaviour of the hostess , fried sea food was really terrible
