An waiter from a different restaurant suggested us to visit Arsinoe, as we asked him for a place with fresh fish, and we are very happy that followed his suggestion. Excellent family run fish tavern, with the best fish we had in Cyprus !!! Thank...you, Maria !!! You are the best!!!More

Amazing food in a fabulous location on the main square of Polis. We had the fish meze which was great value with huge amounts of seafood, fish and accompaniments. The fish soup starter was surprisingly delicious! You need to book a table even in low...season.More

The best fish in town, caught daily by family and served the same day! We're both great fans of red mullet and grilled octopus, so it is always a temptation to have both! They certainly want you to eat too much though, and we sometimes...have trouble getting through all the potatoes. The salad is a traditional mix and as fresh as can be, while the house wine is some of the best in town.More

Was a bit skeptical as not a fish fan particularly but we had the nicest meal of our holiday. The sea bass was incredible. Friendly service and a clear favourite of the locals.

Avoid this unless you particularly like fried or oily food. The meal was so disappointing and everything was bathed in oil which meant I could not eat much. I should have known from the start, pitta bread was delivered and it was smothered in oil,...not only this it was hard. The beetroot starter was exactly that! Crab starter was not as expected and came deep fried The hummus was in fact nice. The sea bream that my husband had was nice however poorly presented. Overall this is not worth a visit, don’t waste an evening on itMore

If you really love constant fried food this place is for you, many of these courses feel freshly caught out the freezer and dumped into the deep fat fryer smothered in oil. My octopus starter had a nice flavour but was like an octopus chewing...gum. The mixed plate was more like a deep fat fryer on a plate, tasted very terribly fried everything covered in oil and deep fried, who knew you could fry a mussel and a prawn, the only thing that remotely tasted fresh was the sea bream but was presented poorly and not worth the price at all. I do not understand any of these reviews made of this establishment the staff do not care and the food is poor. Feels like I’ve been smothered in oil after my meal. I feel like I’ve been robbed blind.More

We have been before and really enjoyed it! This time we hadn’t booked but we were lucky to turn up and get in or should out as it was a balmy night and the owners put seating outside. I have seen some other reviews about...this restaurant and can only think they are not fish eaters. I catch my own fish at home in the UK and cook it myself, the best is always the simplest and at Arsinoe they do it very well I cannot fault the food, service or prices it was exceptional value. We will return. Thanks for a lovely night.More

Arsinoe restaurant is everything a great fish restaurant can be. The fish is caught by one of the family, prepared by another, cooked by another and serviced, you guessed it, by another. Whilst we sadly (in my opinion, I was one of his fans) lost...the front of house to cancer, his sons and daughter make a great job of continuing the Arsinoe experience. A visit to Polis, for fish lovers, must include a dinner here. You will not find better.More

Arsinoe had always been one of our favourite restaurants in Polis and whilst the poor lighting has always been a problem, especially for a restaurant specialising in fish. However, since they extended the tables across the road this problem is even worse. They really do...need to provide some decent battery powered lighting. Another downside of the extension over the road is that they don’t open until the road closes at 7pm. Given it’s quiet early evening, I don’t understand why the original dining area doesn’t open at 6pm as previously. Our two starters were good, king prawns and a disappointing fish soup which was vegetable, with no fish flavour. Our three mains of octopus, barracuda and sea bream were very good, but the accompanying couscous was soggy and unpleasant.More

Very disappointing seafood restaurant. Nothing tasted fresh. Location great, but that was it. Much better seafood restaurants in the locale - avoid Arsinoe.

When we arrived at about 7:15 and tried to ask if we could have a table for dinner. The hostess was very consumed on her table reservations and asked us to return in 15 minutes we took a walk around the old town and returned...to be seated opposite a small church with a bell tower. The waiter was very pleasant and served us promptly. We ordered calamari with chips for the kids and we were going to order 3 portions and he politely told us that it would be too much for the kids to finish and to order at most 2 portions. We ordered some octopus and fish of the day which was sea bass which we very much enjoyed. Great ambience Great food Great serviceMore
