Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

As we sat at our table, we decided to read the reviews and couldn’t believe what we were reading was true. Unfortunately, most of the comments prove to be true. The staff wasn’t overly helpful. Maybe not rude as some of the commentators have said,...but not fast and not overly friendly. My wife ordered a drink that was on their menu and they couldn’t even find the bottle for 5 minutes. The food, pretty good but pricey. I am Swiss and this is the first time ever eaten cheese fondue out of a bread pot. It was pretty unique but a little tough to do as you have to eat the bowl that contains the cheese. Towards the end of the meal, our server was nowhere to be found so we spent about 20 minutes just waiting on him. If you’re looking for good food and don’t care much about the service this is a place to go. Pack your patience.More

Note: No reservations, tables are served on a first come first serve basis from 7:30 PM. The service and food were generally okay but average. We ordered two different pasta dishes and one failed to arrive because the waitress seemingly didn't record it despite our...order being very clear. There were some language barriers. The staff were friendly and sorted out issues with no problem. The steak was poor quality and had little taste. However, the Fish dish and Patatas Bravas were good. This restaurant is overpriced and a tourist trap but in all honesty, all the restaurants in the area are probably the same in that sense. The location is good but equally all are quite close to each other. I recommend meals in the surrounding smaller towns.More

This restaurant has a great fondue, served in a fabulous bread bowl. The waiters were fantastic and everything was great… EXCEPT the lights are kept on High and it’s weirdly disturbing to have such bright lights in a restaurant!

Bad attention to clients from Oscar G. who was also treating his colleagues as inferiors in front of the customers. Service with a lot of table mistakes and badly trained (wine cups served without tray, warm white wine...). The Steak and the salad were bad...quality and the final price expensive.More

El Refugi Alpí is a bar/restaurant located in the center of Andorra la Vella, the main city in the homonymous country, in the Pyrenees. It has a very nice terrace, from where you can see La Noblesse du temps statue, which is next to the...terrace. I came here with my 7 years daughter to take the last beverages in the travel and play carda. The staff was very friendly and the place is very good. (See also La Noblesse du temps)More

The food was very poorly prepared, the meat old, the fish most likely frozen as it was dry and over salted. The kids menu : Pasta to start was ok Schnitzel second was tasteless Ice cream was good In all: Don’t waste your money here!

Very surprised to read a lot of negative comments concerning the staff at this restaurant. We had a wonderful evening. Very friendly staff members, from Argentina and Peru, great food, great drinks. We did not have the fondue, but our table neighbours yes and it...seemed that it was excellent also.More

Terrible service. None of our requests were met and it took a very long time for everything. We went through 4 or 5 dishes untill they had something available from the menu. We asked for 2 more glasses of wine 4 times before the waitress...finally brought them. All we got from our visit here was frustration.More

Had dinner here. Nice outside seating options. Had starter each but would suggest you share they were huge and more than enough for two people. I opted for fillet steak and hubby had entrecôte steak. Both cooked well, full of flavour and pepper sauce was...excellent. Service mostly very good but got a bit surly at time particularly as I could not get the wine list app to work.More

We popped here for a drink with the foresight of returning to eat there in the evening, however that was before we sat for 5 minutes patiently to be served, then a waiter came to take our order of drinks. Okay so we are English...and do not speak Spanish but we are polite and try to explain ourselves, the waiter understood that we wanted 2 beers but not the shandy also of which we have managed to get elsewhere, he indicated he was either getting a menu for me or another waiter who understood. However 10 minutes later no beers arrived and everyone else around us got their drinks, 5 minutes later still no beer and no other waiter, then we saw the waiter who originally was with us and said excuse me and indicated that we still did not have any drinks. He just looked at us and completely ignored us and walked off again no drinks and no help. He was completely rude and made no attempt to even get someone else at all or bring a menu… hasten to say we got up and walked away and will not be returning for any meal tonight !!!!!More

We were greeted by an extremely unfriendly, rude and arrogant employee. As we were not making ourselves understood, we tried to speak in English and he didn't even try to help. There were still some very rude comments that we understood perfectly. If he spoke...as badly as he treats people, the service would be 5 stars. Every year we have returned to this restaurant and this year was no exception but this time it was one to forget. Apparently the management has changed and sympathy has gone with the previous management. There was no care in the food with the time at which the food was brought. Bearing in mind that in the group we had 4 children, their food came 30 minutes after ours. What a shame. Our Raclette was good but in terms of quality / price it leaves a lot to be desired. Not worth the excessive price they ask for the food. The children's food was practically all on the plate. Very poorly made. A pity because it was a stopping point when we came to Andorra for our snow vacation.More
