We've visited Indien Village many times over the years and have always had an excellent service with superb food. The curries are light, filling and tasty and the naan bread is soft and delicious. This being Vienna, generally the curries are less hot than one would find in, say, the UK; but can be made hot on request. And you... More

In preparation for any of our travels, we check TripAdvisor for ethnic restaurants as a break from local cuisine. Indien Village was at the top of our list to seek out in Vienna. The service was outstanding and very friendly, and the ambience was warm, cozy and intimate. We requested that our dishes be prepared very spicy and the restaurant... More

We've just returned to our hotel after a lovely meal in equally lovely surroundings at the Indien Village restaurant. The restaurant is not that easy to find as it's tucked away on the corner of a small street. The frontage is only a doorway as the restaurant is down some fairly steep steps in the basement. However, it's well worth... More

Not only is the food made to perfection by the service is the best! They offered to take our photo and we're very attentive throughout the meal! The chicken tikka masala is amazing.

We had a very tasty meal here at a reasonable price. The servers were very friendly and helpful and genuinely wanted you to enjoy their service. My partner had a spicy dish and asked for extra green chillies that were supplied in quantity. Probably one of the best Indian meals we have had out of the UK.

Very nice and cosy Indian restaurant with an impressive menu. Sampled the paneer tikka masala, tandoori rotis and veg biryani. The food was excellent, hot and well served. Portion sizes are good for a meal for two. If you are looking for a very good Indian restaurant in the centre of Vienna, definitely recommend a visit.

Excellent service and great taste of Indian food. Very convenient to our hotel (Hilton Plaza), within walking distance between restaurant and city centre. Lunch buffet was a wonderful option with good choices of dishes and reasonable price. Mango Lassi was delicious!

Excellent service in comfortable, traditional surroundings from friendly staff who were attentive without hurrying. My wife thought it her most enjoyable Indian meal in a long time, and my daughter noted a large number of gluten free/vegan options. Thoroughly recommended!

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
