We thought this would be a great place for lunch. on arrival we found restaurant was fully booked and the cafe was shut till 2pm. Yeah; sure the view was good but looking through metal bars was not pleasant. We went up and came straight back down. We went to the aquarium and that was by far a better experience.... More

To clarify, there are two restaurants in the Donauturm, and these comments only apply to the cafe. The view is fantastic, and if you're seeking a nice way to pass an hour, and provided that you can get a seat without being crowded in with someone at your table (we were), this is a good option. As other reviewers state,... More

Been there with my friend. Took teas & a cake. Tasty all. Service wasn't fast. Free wifi. Less than 10 euro you should pay to enter the tower.

the elevator experience was slightly frightening the panoramic view from upstairs was breath-holding but make sure the weather is letting you see long distance worth the price

As we only had one day in Vienna, we got on a tour bus which took us out to the Donauturm, a 60s/70s telecoms tower which as well as stunning views over the Danube to the city, also has a revolving restaurant/cafe. We ate tasty chips and drank beer whilst watching the view continually changing. A great experience.

We enjoyed the view and the food we chose for dinner. The menu does not have many options, but we were pleased by our choice. The entrance to the tower fee is though unjustified and adds to the cab/uber costs that make the whole thing a bit overpriced even the restaurant itself has decent prices. It worths to pay a... Visited on Jan 26, 2017 with my girlfriend. The views are lovely and that the tower moves is also very nice and creates a very warm and cosy ambiance. Upon entry we were given small pieces of bread with to share (nothing fancy, 4 pieces of bread in total). In the end this cost €3.20 per person so heads up... More

dinner there was my birthday present from my husband and i really enjoyed it :-) The view is simply amazing! Food was.. expensive, and not really as good as in many Restaurants in Vienna, but I believe that you go there for a view, not the food :-) therefore - i recommend to try!

Of course I went there for the view and the fact that it was a rotating restaurant inside the Danube Tower. The view was amazing, hands down, I was there at night and seeing the city from above at night was just perfect. I was already planning to pay the fee for going up the tower but this is still... Many restaurants can boast lovely views here in Vienna, where almost everything is beautiful, however Der Neue Donaurtum takes views to the next level. 165 metres above the ground this restaurant offers the most stunning views and its not as if you could miss it either. Towering over the city this observation tower slowly rotates, endlessly offering new outlooks. But that doesnt mean the interior has been forgotten, simple and classic in simple whites, stripes and wood, the dining room allows the view and the food to speak more loudly. The short but sweet menu centres around the delicate traditions of Viennese cooking accompanied by fine wines.
