Nice and close to our hotel at the Intercontinental we came across this pub and gave it a try. Had the beef steak. Yumm. We went back for a second time out of our three night stay. Really good pub grub with good range of beers to choose from.

We discovered this restaurant in 2012 and return every time we are in Vienna. The Wienerschnitzel is incredible!! Bigger than the plate and perfectly cooked and served with a side of delicious potato salad and a great cranberry chutney. Wash it down with a great Austrian beer (Edelweiss is our favorite). This is a smoking establishment, like most of Austria.... More

We had dinner yesterday at that place and were not impressed with the food at all. The schnitzel was very dry and the ribs were kind of spicy as in an Indian restaurant. Maybe the kartoffelsalad was prepared in an Austrian style but in Germany we ate the really great one, not like in that restaurant. Even we were really... More

This restaurant is well located, with seat options to non smokers. The service is quick, the beer is good, the traditional Vienna food is really well cooked!

This one of my favorite pace to eat. Close to the ring, great Wiener schnitzel, superb Austrian potato salad, great Dunkel, el Fresco seating in the summer, casual, relaxing, moderately priced. Off the beaten path and very close to the Marriott and Inter-Con hotel.

We went here for pre meal drinks. The food served was very good with generous portions and looked really good. We went for a drink with the family and sat in what was a very pleasant road side table. Early evening it was very quiet. Called back on the way past for a night cap and it was getting more... More

Very nice and warm place, very close to the city center. We really enjoyed our dinner, at a reasonable cost. Recommended! Should I return in Wien (hope so!) I definitely would return at Bettelstudent!

I love coming to Bettelstudent when my friends and I are in town and we're craving some typical Granny cuisine! You're able to find all different kinds of Austrian specialities on the menu, if it's Wiener Schnitzel, Gulyas, Zwiebelrostbraten, Potato Soup, Backhenderl,... they also do Burgers and Ribs! Their home-made fries are delicious!! It's rather cheap considering that it's very... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
