About
Café seit Mozarts Zeiten The first coffeehouse was opened at this location in 1794, three years after the death of W.A. Mozart. The Café Katzmayr located here was a popular meeting point for writers, artists, and actors during the Biedermeier period. In 1882 the old baroque house was torn down, and a Café was opened again in the present building which received the name Café Mozart in 1929. Here is where Graham Green worked on the screenplay of 'The third man' in 1947. A scene of this great classic film takes place in the street serving area of the Café Mozart. Enjoy the atmosphere of a traditional Viennese café without being bothered by smoke! For the Café Mozart is entirely a non-smoking café.

The location, the decor, the pastries... everything at Cafe Mozart makes it a staple of what one would expect of a Viennese cafe

A historical cafe in one of the most beautiful squares of the city. Come here to test the excellent apfelstrudel, but also all the other typical Austrian sweets, like sachertorte. Quick and efficient service. Wonderful and atmospheric interior.

Mozart is a very nice traditional cafe, together with e.g. Central or Sacher more on the "grand" end than many others. The atmosphere is very nice and traditional, service is extremely good, prices not overwhelming, coffee good, and cakes also (although not as good as...More

In my opinion Cafe Mozart is a must. The service is super nice and the food delicious! Specially I recommend you the Kaiserschmarrn. It is truth that it’s a bit expensive and you need to take your time there, but definitely it’s worthy.
