We Uber to this restaurant because we were staying near Stephenplatz. In 5 minutes we got to the restaurant which is very nice, well kept and with a cozy local soul. Our table was in the huge room in the basement which looks like a cellar..I loved the place. Menu is in both German and English so it was very... More

The quality of the food was average, poor in vegetarian options, typical Viennese menu, however missing personality.

waiter are very caring and smart, meat quality and cooking style is very good. you won't feel your dish is roughly made despite the fact that the restaurant is crowded. and the portion is enough for solo traveller, ribs roasted with honey and chili, 3 dippings for chips, and some tiny veggie so that you wont feel greasy at all.... The Salm is a boutique beer hall. It has a traditional look and feel that you would expect from a Austrian Keller! The beers are brewed on the premises and I have to admit they are very tasty!!! I had the pork ribs with chips and it was a winner)))

Austrian brewery/restaurant. Polite staff, warm, friendly atmosphere. Not the posh-run-of-the-mill snobbish trash. Good Austrian food. They serve their own brewed beer. Tasty. Next door to Belvedere museum. So, if you go to the museum, after you leave it, go there for a beer and a local delicacy. It's a really nice place.

LOVE everything about this restaurant. Ordered Schinkenfleckerl, Ribs, & Chicken cordon bleu, all fantastic! Dinner for two cost us USD $45.81. We came in at 11pm, so no wait at all. Highly recommended!

This is my regular pub meal haunt in Vienna. You can't go wrong by ordering Stelze, Ribs, or Schnitzel. The beer is good, especially the Maerzen (dark lager), which is brewed on site. Have the garlic soup for starters with bacon croutons - you WON'T regret it. Staff are very competent and friendly, and it's nice to see Lederhosen and... More

Had a dinner reservation for 12/26/16 at 6:00 PM. In typical Vienna restaurant and café fashion these days, service was rushed and not congenial. In their hurry to get as many customers in an out as possible, they almost hit my father with a tray. It’s not the bloody food races, slow the f down and respect your customers, especially... More

Dropped in here without reservation and only had to wait ten minutes or so for a table (seemed like it could often be longer, given the taped-off queuing area). Were given a spacious spot at a rugged table in the warm, bustling basement, and brought menus by a waiter of the comedy variety, although he kept his gags on-topic and... More
