Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The husband and wife team behind this small seafood restaurant offer great food and exceptional service. We enjoyed all the dishes, but the octopus with tuna cream was superb as were the scallops with sweet potato purée. There is no menu, but Neii was kind...enough to send me the details of our meal the following day. The relaxed atmosphere that the hosts generate, whilst preparing and serving the food from their small kitchen is to be applauded. A thoroughly enjoyable evening.More

Booked for a family of 5. We took a cab to the restaurant. The host was shocked to see that our reservation included three kids and scolded us for not informing her before. She did not specify that they did not accept children upon making...the reservation via a telephone call a few hours earlier. Whilst we are still with our foot at the door, she proceeded to inform us that she only offers a set menu and we would be better off in the pizza joint across the road. She sacked us out of her restaurant literally within a few minutes of walking in. If she only had a set menu to offer, she had the obligation to inform us upon making the reservation but she used is as an excuse as she did not want any kids there. We were left stranded as tourists in the middle of an unfriendly neighbourhood on a Saturday night with no other reservation and after paying a 20Eur taxi ride. To put you in the picture, the restaurant is located in an ugly part of Vienna, with no other decent restaurant within walking distance. It is located at street level in a cheap block of tall, soot-covered building. It is an extremely small space with around 7 tables maximum and cheap, up-cycles decor. We are glad we got kicked out in the end as it was definitely not up to our standards. So thank you, rude lady.More

Fantastic service, excellent food. It's a very small restaurant and we were there with 9 persons instead of the 6 that we reserved, but the lady of the house made the atmosphere very welcoming and relaxed. No menu, just put your gastronomical fate in their...hands and you won't be disappointed.More

My family dined at Marcodi in July 2023 while on vacation in Vienna. The food was delicious and unique, and Nellie and Marco were wonderful hosts—so warm, welcoming, attentive, and funny. Had one of the better meals and dining experiences of my life here, and...would definitely return if I could. Thank you! 💛More

It is a small restaurant serving a set course meal of fish related fare, I loved the food and service was excellent. Both husband and wife were attentive and concerned with each dish. I enjoyed the carpaccio and tuna tar tar really prepared well, and...enough to feed two people. I will go back before I leave ViennaMore

Need a break from schnitzel? We had a great experience dining at this little restaurant. If Marcodi sits a dozen people, that would be crowded. The meal was a set five courses, each in perfectly-sized portions. Marcodi is a husband and wife-owned establishment. He is...the chef and she is "all other duties as assigned," and she is a sheer fun! We highly recommend Marcodi!More

We were heartedly welcomed to this little cosy restaurant, despite of our late arrival. A five meal course was served, well composed and so delicious! Do not miss :).

Cozy little restaurant run by a couple that does everything with the two of them. She is the host and he is the chef. Very friendly and hourly atmosphere. All tables were reserved at the same time and everyone got the same dishes at the...same time. It was as everyone was one big family. Food is really good. Not the best I ever had but it fitted perfectly in the atmosphere.More

Located 10 minutes by walk from the U6 Josefstädter Strasse metro station. Private dining restaurant concept with a perfect service and a dinner taking around 3 hours. There is a fixed menu composed by 5 courses (or optionally 7) with 3 shared starters, one first...course and one second course. There are opportunities for improvement: menu should include one dessert and the starters should not be shared considering price and portions, tartufo wasn't present in gnocchi but only as flavour in the oil, sea fish must not be salted during the preparation. Paid 125 € for 2 menu and 4 glasses of wine.More

You would have to speak to the owner/chef personally. There is no menu you usually get what he has cooked on the night.
