We picked this place out of our guide book. The little courtyard it mentioned was closed, possibly because of the Season, but it did look like it would have been very pretty. It was busy but we got a table and were served quickly by a very nice girl. They have English menues too, although we already knew we had... More

Linked to a tee lovers emporium the cafe has a kind of English theme. Afternoon tea from 3.00pm. We went for lunch. 1.50 cover charge for delicious bread and a spread. Lots of other choices. Very good soup. Slices of open bread with egg spread, smoked salmon, beef, tuna. 1.50 per 1/2 bread. Amazing tee choices. Very friendly highly recommendable.

Nice, calm place to relax after climbing the tower for the Viennese skyline or after all the walking in the Stephanplatz. Great collection of teas and chocolates. Treat yourself with a moment of grace!

We had an excellent lunch here. The restaurant is right next to the Cathedral, but is a garden with a large canopy over it. Helpful service, the Avocado salad with soda bread was excellent. An oasis of peace during a busy day of sightseeing.

Find the beautiful green courtyard hidden away behind Stephansdom and enjoy only a small snack, full meal or British tea (after 3pm).

So you've finished fighting the crowds at St. Stephens. Now its time to enjoy yourself and try some really good Austrian wines. Head about 1 1/2 blocks away and try Haas and Haas. They have tasting upstairs and in a wine cellar downstairs. They also have deli type food you can try. Its not precisely a wine tasting, what you... More

We were really looking forward to having tea and cakes here, but the service was a bit rude as though they don't really want you there. The lemon cake was exceptionally dry and although in the menu it stated it was full of lemon juice, it did not taste of lemon. At all. All in all very disappointing and very... More

This cafe was recommended in the Eyewitness guidebook so we thought we seek it out. It's not that easy to find but when we did it certainly looked like a good place for lunch. We stood at the entrance for a couple of minutes waiting to be seated and were ignored by a couple of the waitresses. Eventually we managed... More

We went back a second time. We felt the ambiance was relaxing and feels like you are in a quiet garden cafe. Staff is good. Americans please don't expect fast service like in the states. The pace is different and cafes are to be enjoyed and the service can slow if they are busy. Relax. Food is diverse, but coffee,... More

Once you step in to the shop, you will fall in love of its nice smell. I always buy the tea from this shop for my nice and relax breakfast during the Weekend where you have much more time to eat and enjoy life.

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
