One of the waiters at the restaurant area was very rude and told one of us to leave just because he didn't feel like ordering a drink... crazy....and that was after he ordered three beers at the bar and food...do not spend your money there!!!

We went to see a soccer game but were unfortunately so DESPICABLY "welcomed" at the downstairs pub by two waitresses that we left once we were assigned a seat far from the tv screen. It was quite a surreal experience, being treated with such a lack of professionalism as one of the waitresses had told us the seats were reserved... More

We popped into this bar for a quick drink and ended up staying for for dinner. From the outside it looks like a smallish bar. However, there is a large restaurant at the back and a huge seating area downstairs which looks like it runs the whole length of the street. There is also a beer garden over the road... More

We really enjoyed the food which was various and delicious. Waiters looked a bit like bad guys in Wolfenstein game but always very efficient and nice! We suggest you to try it!!!

I walked into this local pub while walking through Vienna one day in December. I found a very friendly staff and delicious food. The beer was perfectly cold! Loved this pub and will definitely return soon!

I like that place. In summer there is a very beautiful garden, quiet and green. But also inside you can sit very comfortable and the meals are good.

This place is great. The back is cozy and non-smoking. We ordered some beers, pretzels, and delicious Old Viennese Beef Soup. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a laid back spot for dinner or drinks.

Another place recommended by our tour guide. Ate here with 6 couples. Sat outside on a warm evening. Try anything Austrian, also have a Gosse bier, a nice pilsner.

Staying in Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
