We stumbled upon this restaurant en route to Haus der Musik. Service was friendly and food was very good. We had minestrone; mixed salad with feta, olives and arugula; spaghetti frutti di mare with a tomato sauce; and Tagliatelle ai gamberetti (prawns and shrimp) in an alfredo sauce. Portions were generous. One can sit outside or inside. Menu includes vegetarian... More

I've just had a very tasty meal here - a lovely pasta with capers, anchovies, courgette and aubergine. The experience was however soured by the bill. Firstly I had to ask to see it as the waiter was keen to just charge me without knowing how much I owed. When he did bring the bill there were 2 glasses of... More

I went to Cantinetta La Norma upon Rick Steves' recommendation in his travel guide for Vienna. The food was good, service was average, the atmosphere exceptional. It would be an excellent place for a group of two to four people to share a quiet Italian meal.

Food was average, lasagne in particular was dry. When we asked for the check. The waiter told us the price and provided no bill. We were in a hurry and paid and placed coins on the table which he came and took while we sat there. Now from reading reviews, we feel scammed as we were overcharged when we recalculate.... More

We did not really like the interior but have no other remarks besides that. The staff was very friendly and served us with a smile for the entire evening. Pizza was awesome, would definitely recommend. On top of that it is absolutely not expensive! Will come back!

We came across this "restaurant" by chance, tripadvisor reviews were ok thus we decided to stay; we were 4 adults and 3 children. We're Italian and can ensure that nothing here could be thought to be Italian except the name. Forget the service and also the food: pizza as mentioned by waiter was unfrozen, pasta over cooked. Finally...I do not... More

My husband and I make a point to eat at La Norma every time we visit Vienna, which has been three times now. The owner is very nice and remembers us every time we go. It's a tiny place inside, but there is ample outdoor seating when the weather permits. The risotto is always on-point and my husband always gets... More

We ate here twice during our stay in Vienna. The food was very good and reasonably priced. Because of its location you can sit outside in the square without being disturbed by any traffic. The Aperol Sprotzers are great!

Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
