The food was really delicious. The atmosphere was great. The owner nickname "Fabio" made our visit great. We were at home.

Me and my girlfriend found this restaurant as we were looking for typical austrian restaurant serving a "wiener Schnitzel" . very nice and welcoming staff and the kitchen was perfect as well. We both had a Schnitzel with potatoes. Together with that we drank a "grüner veltiner" which is a very common austrian white wine. All was perfect in there.... More

Very welcoming atmosphere, authentic decor, friendly staff and delicious food! Had Wiener schnitzel - very nice indeed! And free schnapps at the end - can't go wrong!

My wife and I were on a short break to Vienna to enjoy the Xmas markets and some music. Arriving late on Saturday afternoon we walked into the city centre which was packed with revellers out for a good time. After a warming glass of Grog we started looking for somewhere nice to eat and eventually came across the Kuckuck... More

Stumbled across this restaurant on a Sunday evening during our weekend trip to Vienna. Wanted something fairly authentic / Austrian and thats what we got. Lovely and cosy inside the restaurant, had a complimentary starter and our group all chose different meals for main course. Everyone enjoyed their food, service was good & the bill was reasonable. All in all... More

A quaint, local restaurant. Immediately noted the welcoming, friendly, and helpful staff which conveyed the impression of a family-owned, family-run establishment (even though it may not be). Our waitress, who spent a school year in Australia, had excellent English skills and was most helpful to the four of us. The menu is traditional Austrian. Our meals started with an amuse-bouche.... Situated in a side street off the main shopping street, I doubt if this place has changed much since the cold war. Pictures of cuckoos and a couple of stuffed ones decorate the walls and there are several interesting pieces of fin de siecle furniture. Add cabaret music a la Brecht to the mix and this place is a little... More

Small authentic Austrian restaurant. A cosy atmosphere and we had lunch. The restaurant opens at 11 am during the weekend. We started as the only people in the restaurant and when we left the place was 'packed'😁😁 Recommation definitely a yes!

We were looking around for a lovely meal in an authentic Austrian restaurant last night and found this restaurant on a side street. The meal was lovely. Had the dumplings for starters which was tasty although a little salty. I had veiner snitzel main course which probably could have done with some sauces (but that is not authentic). Service was... KuckKuck was recommended by our concierge at the Imperial hotel, and it was wonderful. What really made this a wonderful evening was our host, who was a lovely gentleman, who gave the whole evening a friendly and personal touch. The food was excellent - traditional Viennese which I had never really tried before. Lovely place.

Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
