This was a strange and very old fashioned place. Half of the place was a smoking area and the smell was coming into the other part were we sat. Very crowded, too many tables in a small area. The staff didn't make us feel very...More

Decided to try the schnitzel here and was not disappointed. We had the minced cutlet version and the traditional Weiner schnitzel. Both were cooked perfectly with creamy mash and potato salad. The beer was a good size. Staff are very good and we had the...More

We had dinner here our first evening in Vienna. This restaurant is very close to the Schottentor, it offers traditional Austrian food. The food was fine, the service was attentive and the atmosphere pleasant.

Zum Leupold is apparently a Vienna institution. It certainly offers an extensive menu of typical Viennese cuisine in a location that is very close to the university and the Rathaus. Nevertheless, I hate the fact that people smoke inside as well as outside and, as...More

Really enjoyed the schnitzel. Staff were really friendly. Great beer on tap. Creamed vegetables and pickled cucumber were enjoyable. Has a smoking and non smoking section.

This is a couple blocks from city hall and parliament, and you would think the prices would reflect that. But it doesn't! Very reasonable prices for fantastic Austrian food. The service was top notch. For those of us who are German challenged they provide menu's...More
