We stayed in the Imperial and had breaksfast in the cafe. It's very basic; pleasant helpful staff but not a huge choice of food (which one definitely expects in a five star hotel) and an easily forgettsble experience.

The pork of weinerschnitzel is thin and oily and felt eating breading only. The soup is very salty. The salad, alas- salty with much potato.

Stopped in for a special breakfast. Ate outside. Perfect service, perfect food. Best apple strudel in the universe. Caution when ordering Austrian coffee-their "mélange" is like a smooth but weak cappuccino.

We loved dining here for the breakfast buffet...but we also loved the traditional Wiener Schnitzel. Thinly pounded veal coated in bread crumbs...light and delicious. Served with baby potatoes or traditional potato salad.

Emperor's portrait hanging on the wall, dark wood molding and tables give classic look. You can feel breeze in the balcony and enjoy classic looking buildings around

Eat your meal on the patio and watch Vienna go by. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner here are all good. and be sure to try the Imperial Torte for dessert!

We had coffee and dessert here one evening. Delicious! Also, as we were staying in the Hotel Imperial (attached to this café), we had breakfast here daily.

Having watched nearly all of Erik Steins shows because he doesn't just focus on cooking, we found ourselves in Vienna few days ago and went to the Imperial Hotel Cafe for our Wiener Schnitzel experience! Firstly we couldn't afford to stay at this hotel but...More
