We were on a day trip and had an early dinner there. My wife had a snitzel and I had a roastbratten. We also had some beers and a strudel. Service had to be solicited but the food was very good by my ethnic standards. We are not talking five star hotel stuff but neighborhood offerings. We would return. Yes... More

Went in for a quick snack and a coffee. It wasn't busy but it took time to get a menu. Very nice older waitress. The food was OK. The restaurant had character and felt like a place for locals rather than tourists (who are, perhaps, more demanding). I think your reaction to this place would depend on your mood.

We did not expect what The Cafe Raimund would be such a dreadful experience when we spontaneously decided to go there for a hot drink and strudel. Firstly, we had to wait for a very long time for one of the two surly waitresses to bring the menu. None of them reacted when I tried to attract their attention although... More

Having arrived quite late, we knew the Raimund stayed open late (because of the Volkstheatre, opposite) The schnitzel was small and just OK. The Apfelstrudel was not good (Waitrose is infinitely superior) and the wine was vinegary. Perhaps an off night, but we will go to the Eiles next time.

Tired after several hours of walking in beautiful Vienna , me and my friend visited this place for a dinner. We wanted to enjoy a real "Wiener Snitzel", and a glass of wine. The wine was ok, but the snitzel was absolutely tasteless! We dicided we wanted to go another place for dessert, so we asked for the bill. After... More

Maybe not the fanciest of cafes from the outside, but inside it is pretty nice. The food and coffe were quite good, and the service was fine. I would definately not hesitate to return.

We stopped at Cafe Raimund for lunch today while visiting museums. It is a decent looking place that is obviously frequented by locals. Our server was extremely pleasant and our lunch food was of good quality. We didn't have a big meal so it is hard for me to say what a more substantial meal would be like, but our... More

Great Austrian food at very inexpensive rates. Service was a little slow, but friendly. The menu is Austrian with a few pizzas thrown in for fun. The egg dumplings are great!
