Great place for a beer and a burger (or similar) The burgers were excellent – Cooked just how you want them. Home made and full of flavour. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The prices were great too. Lovely place to stop a while and relax

Nice, friendly place with excellent food and friendly service. Chilled atmosphere. Booked for a group of four and everyone went away happy.

Very friendly staff and delicious substantive burgers cooked to order the way you want them. I can recommend the burger with blue cheese. There are also a variety of sauces that can accompany the burger together with salad and french fries. One does not leave hungry.

We were looking for a late night place to eat after arriving in Vienna and found Smokey's. They could not be more welcoming and we asked for the no smoking section and were shown into a separate room. It is basically a burger place where you can choose your own way of having a burger with sides and dips. The... More

Yummy! Loved the burger! You could tell it was home made and tasted great. I loved the English Muffin Bread Bun. Haven't had anything like it anywhere else in Vienna.

I would recommend Smokey's. it was a nice establishment with separated smoking/non-smoking areas. The menu was mainly in German but was easy enough to translate. We found the staff to be very helpful and they were happy to use English when speaking with us. We started with chilli cheese balls which was the best part of the meal. We followed... More

Really enjoyed when here in the summer - so brought my other daughter here. She had the falaffel sandwich and said it was the best falaffel she has ever eaten (and she's had a few) - the hummus and guacamole was also excellent as was my burger and wedges. They also serve a really nice beer. And they have a... More

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighbourhood Profile
Leopoldstadt
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city centre and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theatres, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
