Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Went last night with my family for a family dinner, the staff was very good and friendly, food was okay. However, a very bitter taste surprise when I asked for sauces with my burger and the waiter told me there was an extra charge of...€1 for each sauce!! Not even near to be called an Original Irish Pub! I'm not angry, just disappointed.More

Fantastic Irish bar tucked away in the town centre ..popped in for a Guinness and stayed much longer , you know it’s good when the place fills with the locals all eating from the superb menu My heart goes out to the very hard working...bar staff that despite to crowd nothing seems to phase them ..brilliant pub , staff , choice of drinks , atmosphere , music and prices for the centre of ViennaMore

Where Irish meets Austrian. Came here with the expectation of Irish charm, Austrian cheer & a few pints of Guinness. Found only misery and poor service.

Great location but unwelcoming barmaid spoiled visit. Not the great Irish welcome I hoped for from woman serving at the bar. Only stayed for one drink because of this.

We visited here last Saturday evening. One of the waitresses was very snappy with group beside us. They called her to the table and were still looking at menu when she came over. She snapped "don't call me over until you are ready to order..." !!!! Also on 2 occasions we were short changed, the second time the waitress took the money for the pint ordered and never gave back change. The amount of change was small but should always be returned without having to ask for it. Third thing that annoyed us was that we ordered baby guinness at end of night and shot glasses were barely half full !!! Forget to mention that when we arrived we sat in large couch area and waitress said " I may have to move you if we get busy cos that's a seat of 7 ". We are Irish, you don't treat customers this way, rude, snappy and downright sneaky. We don't usually visit Irish bars when abroad but we visited this one due to sentimental reasons. However it left a bad impression on us Unfortunately.More

I've been going to Vienna for many years and this pub seems to have been around for ever,I've been here so many times over the years I've lost count ,always had a great time and so it proved on our latest visit. I love the...look of this irish pub ,it's very good ,a cool looking serving bar ,pubby decor and furnishings throughout this quite big pub ,big screens to enjoy the sport and there's lots of seating options spread throughout ,it's a great pub to chill out in. My twin brother Stephen and I had just been to the Christmas market on Am Hof and with temperatures hitting the minus four mark we decided to look for a pub to warm up in ,we went to here and this pub was packed with a great atmosphere ,service was quick ,we ordered pints of Ottakriner lager ,these were served freezing cold ,we chilled out ,warmed up while sipping our lagers. One of the best known beers in the city ,Ottakringer lager is a golden ,light and hoppy beer bursting with taste and when it's served iced cold and sparkling is such a delicious beer indeed,it was just so good being in such a fantastic pub enjoying a really good beer sat with my twin brother Stephen who is the best beer companion in the world. We really enjoyed our beers ,stayed for two each before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. Molly Darcys Original Irish Pub is easy to locate along Teinfaltstraße. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, open from 2pm till very late. Well worth checking out if you're in the a Innere Stadt area.More

My partner was excited as there was a picture of a guy to do with Sheffield Utd and he is a life king blades...fan so after speaking with an employee from there he was made up about this guy visiting before. After a Terrible flight with the absolute atrocious Wizz Air (Nobody should ever use this airline 2 hour delay then wouldn’t let me on there own connecting flight!) I happened soon Molly Darcy’s. As soon as I walked in I felt better. They do my...favourite beer Kilkenny and as I looked behind the bar I saw the wonderful smiling face of Chris the barman. He made me feel so much better after what had been a awful day. The food was great and the beer was a fair price. They have sports and and live music on the weekends. This will alway be my first port of call when ever I visit Vienna. Thanks Chris you are a legend!More

Molly Darcy's is a superb Irish pub and was the first Irish pub we ever went to in Vienna many years ago. This is a fantastic Irish pub with a superb Irish themed interior with lots of interesting fixtures and features relating to Ireland throughout the...pub interior and superb seating options. This pub has the lot from live music to quiz night's and shows live sport. They also offer a superb food and drinks range and to top it off brilliant staff. We have been to Vienna many times and we always visit this brilliant Irish pub. We went to here early in the afternoon and it was rammed in here and we ended up by the main bar it was that busy which is how I like pub's.When we visited we had a couple of pint's of Ottakringer brewery beer which were superb and price wise on par with the other Irish pubs we visited in Vienna on our six day holiday. Molly Darcy's Irish pub is well worth visiting and is very easy to get to from Schottentor u-bahn stop its a short walk.(This is my first review of Molly Darcy's Irish pub). Opening Hours. Monday-Thursday-14.00-00.00. Friday-Saturday-14.00-02.00. Sunday-14.00-00.00. Public Transport. Tram Stop. Schottentor tram stop. U-Bahn Stop. Schottentor u-bahn stop.More

Typical bustling Irish style pub, has a reasonable selection of pub grub and sensible prices akin to those in the UK. I had possibly on of the best beef-burgers for a long time here, it was huge, came with fries, salad and onion ring. Superb. Staff...are helpful and efficient.More
