We had a 4-hour layover in Vienna, and instead of eating at the airport we followed the recommendation of a friend and hopped in a taxi to eat lunch at Fabio's. We were not dispappointed! As a fussy Italian (me), I can say that the pappardelle and gnocchi we had were absolutely delicious. The wine list was extensive and reasonable,... More

We chose to eat at Fabios on our romantic weekend getaway in Vienna due to the excellent reviews. I must say it did not disappoint. We had a lovely table and the service was impeccable. We started with the carpaccio and it was delicious. Often times carpaccio comes with parmesan cheese, which sometimes overpowers the dish. Fabios served it with... More

The atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice with long white curtains. The food is good but not very Italian. We had a perfect waiter Gokhan his service was 5 stars. The bar is full of people and has posh atmosphere. You should spend a night at FABIOS. Go for a drink at the bar first and then have dinner!

While ambling around Vienna, we stumbled across Fabios at lunch time, and decided it would be a lovely spot to visit for dinner later that weekend. Fortunately they were able to accommodate us. We enjoyed everything about the experience - the prosseco to start, the food, the wine and the service. The cuisine is decidedly Italian, but definitely more upmarket.... More

We were booked for an 8 pm dinner but our table was not ready until 9 pm and the maitre was so impolite that for a second I thought of leaving..... For one hour we had to stand at the Bar with hundreds of smokers around us..After such a disappointment we sat down to a very good dinner with a... More

Elegant interior, pleasant ambience at the bar and attentive service. The dishes are plated with a style. The menu is both extensive and tasteful. Very enjoyable feeling overall.

Food was really very good. I had a snowcrab for starters and then the veal chop. The veal was one of the best dishes I have ever had. Choice of wines recommended by the waiter was delicious. I cannot comment on prices as I have been invited.

My wife and I went because we were hoping for an authentic Italian dinner, it was not. The food was just OK and the portions were quite small. We got the bill at the end and there was a charge in German that we didn't understand so we asked the waiter. He said it was a charge for the setting... More

The food was delicious! I choose tuna tartare for the starter which was great, followed by seabass with shells and spinach which was also v good! The sorbets are a must if you are after something light for dessert!

In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
