This is a favourite with the opera lovers since it is directly opposite the Opera House and is open late enough for a proper dinner after an evening at the opera. Cooking is very average and forgetable but great atmosphere and location ( great view overlooking the opera house )....

A great example of what "International Food with Austrian Accents" might mean came when we got to the end of the meal and I noticed "Knödel" on the menu. Seasonal Knödel. So what is seasonal in early April? "Nougatknödel" the waitress said. "Ein bisschen schwer", she added, steering me off it. True, the well-known Austrian resto down the street was... More

I went to Do&Co with friends for lunch. I liked the atmosphere. Both the food and the service were good.

Situated in the Albertina museum. The restaurant is stylish in every aspect. The menu on offer is international. We had the Wiener Schnitzel that came with a not so great patato salad and a very small portion of vegetables. The service was excellent.

Went there on my way to Albertina for quick coffee with some cakes with family. Coffee was ok, cakes rather mediocre - looking very good, tasting not really. Prices high, service very strict, maybe professional but without this nice personal touch. There are better places in Vienna.

The Viennese really do take their coffee seriously. Even Albertina serves up a good ambience for coffee during the summer months. Although it is a restaurant, it’s terrace is a perfect spot for coffee and enjoying the views surrounding the palace. Vienna’s very serious coffee culture has its legend created during the siege of the Ottoman Empire. After they failed... More

Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
