This is a very attractive restaurant, done out in the style of Josef Hoffmann. We visited at the end of March, and had booked in advance through our hotel, which was a good idea as there aren’t many tables. I had come across Opus while researching Vienna’s Michelin star restaurants on-line. We entered through the hotel front door, although there... More

This restaurant has the most out standing menu, one item was simply better than the next! There are 3 tasting menus, or you can go a la carte, but the tasting menus are reasonable and spectacular. We tried two different menus, the opus and the imperial, no preference! The service is thoughtful, the wine pairing divine, and the food was... More

We had the Imperial menu with wine. It was superb in every way. Manfred Legl and his colleagues provide the perfect service - friendly and attentive, but not forever hovering over us. The décor is a delight, and the whole experience is a place for grown-ups. If you're in Vienna, don't miss this sensational restaurant.

We went there to celebrate our Valentines-Anniversary Dinner. The Restaurant is located at the Hotel Imperial. Everything looks so elegant and impressing in there. the restaurant is small but the ambience is very nice. we had the opus menu with accompanying wines. this menu is pricey but if you choose such a restaurant you have to be aware with those... The food: tried the Imperial menu in 6 courses and was convinced. Initially I feared some of the combinations were trying to imitate classics that don't belong there - but I was wrong. The arctic chard for example was beautifully cured, with sweet beetroot and a very light yoghurt/dill combination that really lightened it up. The foie gras before that... More

I had the full course meal and truly enjoyed all of their dishes! The wine pairings were wonderful and I appreciated their flexibility with being able to choose a couple of pairings rather than the whole set for each dish. I must say I was even rather spoiled on this occasion and had to help my wife out as she... More

After a bone-chilling winter's day in Vienna, we were pleasantly surprised to be able to walk into a late Saturday night reservation at the Imperial Hotel's one star Michelin restaurant OPUS. The room is itself cozy and set apart from the Imperial Café in the front of the hotel. The two principal servers easily kept up with the small number... More

It doesn't matter whether you are in Vienna for a day or for a week, you need to visit this place. The culinary experience is remarkable. I personally suggest the signature degustation of OPUS menu, which is all senses experience.

Select menus and wine lists paired with impeccable service for an evening enchantment to all your senses. Exquisitely light Austrian cuisine inspired by global trends - The culinary handwriting of the new Sous Chef Stefan Speiser stands for innovation and superior quality and the Michelin Guide (1 Star) as well as the Gault Millau Guide(2 toques) confirm this.

Staying in Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
