A place to enjoy typical Austrian food, but also a place where one can find seasonally based dishes like aspic served with the famous pumpkin oil and cold cucmber soup with shrimps. It is always crowded so reservation is a must. Tables are perhaps a...More

The house speciality is boiled beef but they also do other Austrian dishes like Wiener schnitzel. It’s popular, especially with tourists. The food was well cooked and came promptly. However the staff were underwhelming. The maître d in particular was a grumpy type. Overall was...More

We came late and was lucky to find a space that was not reserved. The waiters were freindly and the food was the best I had while in Vienna.

The food was excellent and the staff was courteous. The only issue was it was served hastily as if they wanted to get rid of us for the next guests. I didn't feel comfortable and left quickly.

We got different dishes than what we order. The waiters was not helpful at all. They are not listening/ or are not explaining details from the menu. They also charge extra for the table decoration. ??????

I brought 4 friends, US, Brazil, Denmark, Italy. We had Schnitzel, classic Tafelspitz and even a vegetarian mushroom dish. Finished up with Kaiserschmarren and Schnaps - Perfect Night. There is another Plachutta close by, either one
