Went there for lunch after getting a recommendation and have to say the schnitzel was lovely, would have it again. In saying that, I don't think it is acceptable to tell the customer that it comes with a sauce then charge them. Additionally, l don't...More

The atmosphere is great in this place. It's almost as if you walk into an medieval-times pub. Even though it's already mentioned in the Lonely Planet you do not feel like you ran into a tourist trap. Great Wienerschnitzel!

This is one of the most authentic and historic eateries in Vienna! I even tried the apricot schnapps (grappa?) After several visits; all the food was delicious! Hubby loved the Strum and dark beer...

We had a lovely atmospheric dinner in the candle-lit crypt:I would recommend asking to be seated there. The staff were very helpful and friendly; the food was delicious. If I'm ever back in Vienna I will definitely go back again.

I haven't seen one but by all means phone them and talk. There is plenty of choice on the menu and it's all good. So fear not. We had excellent food when we returned for dinner.
