We sat in a private wooden booth in this very pretty old style restaurant. Every course was delicious (especially my venison main course!) and the service was excellent, friendly and efficient.

The Black Camel was located right along side our hotel, The Park Hyatt, and was recommended to us by our walking tour guide. In a city filled with restaurants that serve classic Austrian fare, this was a stand out. I guess that's why its been in business since 1618! We went in for lunch without a reservation and fortunately there... More

a famous institution in Vienna - I was disappointed... enter through the main door and before you ever get to the restaurant area, you have to fight your way through the smoker bar - disgusting. the food was mixed: - bread very nice (freshly baked), served with simply butter - for a starter I had the famous cooked ham with... Kamel has been a part of the Vienna scene for hundreds of years and is the place to see the finest of Vienna whether it be winter where everyone is packed in shoulder to shoulder or in the summer when the patio tables come out and you are sitting in very close proximity to the table beside you. The allure... More

An historic Austrian eatery with great ambiance, where tourists will find lots of locals. Traditional Austria fare served by friendly waiters, anxious to please. Sommeliers are happy to help with wine suggestions. Tables are a bit snug for parties of more than 4 .

Went to this place last January . Most shops were closed because it was a holiday ... Epiphany day. Stumbled into this store. Most seats were occupied so I found a counter where I had my open faced sandwich ... Had the salmon , three beef .... Delicious . Ate the sandwiches standing washed with my robust Viennese coffee.

I had lunch in the restaurant with friends. I love the place, however, I have had much better schnitzels! I would recommend to eat something else other than schnitzel!

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
