Not only a coffeehouse, but a hotel and one of the finest Vienna Restaurants! Go to the "Rote Bar" and have a lunch at its best. The menue is great and the winelist abundant! Setting of the "Bar" is so totally "Vienna-style"... simply to love...More

As there is a line of people waiting in front of the cafe be sure to spare some time for it. I waited half an hour and got a table outside and enjoyed saher cake and coffee in the beautiful weather. Great experience.

Very excited at the prospect of trying the famous Sacher torte. It was over priced and the torte was bitter. I would not recommend this as a place to visit.

Staffs are friendly and helpful, the environment is quite simple and cozy, though the lader to the bed is quite stiff.

We arrived at 4pm/16:00 on a weekday and it was only 5 minutes maximum. The line looks much longer than actual wait times. Also there are two lines for two separate dining areas. I feel the line goes rather quickly.

Cafe Sacher Vienna offers the perfect chance to sample a typical Viennese coffee-house atmosphere and - of course - to treat yourself to a slice of the legendary Original Sacher-Torte. The Cafe Sacher, directly opposite the Opera House, is a popular meeting place in the center of Vienna. The windows of the conservatory fold away in the summer to make an open terrace that is the perfect place to soak up the sights and sounds of the city.
