An absolute gem in the middle of Oslo! The food is amazing tasty and varied, and well-priced! We had a wonderful meal and the waiter was extremely attentive and chatty, and made sure we had everything we needed. (Sláinte from Ireland if you’re reading this!)
Wonderful cafe for Sri Lankan specialities. The food was delicious and not very expensive. Clean restrooms.
It's is always a pleasure to visit this place. Tasty and highly recommended food. The prices is not bad either. Verry good service.
Very good Sri Lankan food at a very reasonable price. Clean little restaurant/cafe. Close to Gronland subway station. Clean bathrooms.
Real authentic Tamil food in downtown Oslo, rumor has it they import some of the veggies, since they otherwise wouldn’t be possible to serve in this remote country. Friendly and simple, awesome vegan options and always delicious. On top of that it is (by Norwegian...standards) ridiculously inexpensive. Always a favorite!More
Very basic interior. Smiling friendly guy serving us. Food was tasty and cheap. If you want exactly what you pay for this is it.
We came across this restaurant in an on line search of popular, moderately priced restaurants in Oslo and were not disappointed. We ordered lamb and chicken curry and were really impressed with the freshness and flavor of our dishes. Servings were ample and came on...large plates that held a sample of smaller side dishes that were also delicious. The atmosphere inside was very friendly and the service was great. If you are a fan of Indian and Sri Lankan food and on the prowl for a great meal at a very reasonable price in Oslo (not always easy to find here), this place is definitely worth seeking out.More
Food was really spicy but also great. Service was good and interested in your eating expierience. Cafe was clean and with interesting interier.
On a long weekend visit to Oslo, we were recommended a walk up the Akerselva River that runs through the town and to check out the Palmyra Restaurant and Cafe at Norbygata 15A, 0187 Oslo, which is in the heart of a multicultural area, just...to the North and East of the city centre. We (two) shared the Vadai starter, which came with a delicious coconut chutney. I ordered the Lamb Curry, which was hot and spicy, and in traditional South Indian style, was served on a large metal plate with a rich array of chutneys and small side dishes. My partner had the Masala Dosa, which did not disappoint. We shared a Parotta and had a bottle of Cobra beer each, which was served cold on the premises. We had a lovely chat to the staff, who spoke really great English. The atmosphere in the restaurant and streets was vibrant, warm and friendly. Highly recommended. And the value, given Oslo prices (!) was excellent.More
Great Sri Lanken ( tamill ) tucker .In the middle of Grønland is this anonymous cafe with linen covered tables.Really expansive menu with different fish, chicken and lamb spesialities .Beer and wine sold .
Food is always good and consistent, so that counts a lot! I ordered 2 dishes today, which included 1 papadam each, and I ordered 4 extra papadams for the whole family. Disappointed to see that they charged me for 4 extra papadams, and I got...2,5!!! I was supposed to get 6! Super annoying. Don’t get it, and didn’t discover it until well on my way home. Now I am extra annoyed that they asked me to pay cash, because they were too busy to let me tap my card. 🧐Also gotten yoghurt on a vegan dish once. But I truly love this food, so I might get over the missing papadams and getting charged extra for actually nothing eventually.More
Excellent food! We had chicken curry and it was amazing. Very friendly and nice. I recommend it a lot.
Great food and lovely service. Took me back to Sri Lanka. Really cheap for Oslo and a lot of things to choose from. I reccomend the lamb curry!
Good food at reasonable prices ( at least by Norwegian standards :D) . I think its the only place where you can get South Indian food in Oslo. Had vada (tasted better than India) , veg meal and dosa . All were good.
