Modern and cool restaurant, friendly staff (and many of them) and an excellent food adventure. We got served 14 dishes, and they were all fantastic. One brought You to the sea, the next took You on a trip to the Forrest. Great ingredients prepared to...More

If ever you in a situation where you're annoyed because you simply have too much money laying around, then Maaemo is the place to go. It is probably one of the most expensive restaurants in the world, but it's all worth it. And even though...More

We had 15 courses and they were all superb! We enjoyed each and every one of them and did not leave feeling stuffed! The presentation, the taste, the atmosphere contribute to a uniquely memorable experience. I recommend Maeemo highly and with no hesitation!

Maaemo means mother earth in old Norse and delivers a unique experience like nothing I have experienced before. The dishes are perfectly balanced and very well presented. You would perhaps expect a high-end restaurant like this to be stiff and very formal? Not at all,...More

2nd time at Maemo. We reserved our table 5 months in advance. 16 dishes based on Norwegian tradition with the recommended wine menu. Marvelous dishes served by a highly proffesional staff. They did really deliver and we where defenetly not disapointed. This has to be...More

What a magnificent tour de force. Foraged ingredients, seasonal produce and just brilliant cooking. Worth the journey in its own right. Very upset that all white wines were 12degrees. Really not good enough at this sort of restaurant and at these prices.

It's an investment in time and well worth it from start to finish - like a good Broadway show. By luck I was able to get a reservation on somewhat short notice while not knowing much about the restaurant. We were a bit reluctant to...More

Fresh raw material from Norway. The dishes were beautiful, the tastes were superb, excellent dinning serving style. The table were far away from each other. Recommended!!

Best resturant experience ever. Was lucky enough to get the chambre separee on my girlfriends 30th birthday. This is a dining experience that we will never forget. Prices were as high as expected, but totally worth it. Would rather spend that amount again than spending...More

Including a full wine menu, it will be about 500 euros per person, but definitively worth it if You have 500 to spare. You’ll get between 14-18 courses with 8 servings of wine. It’s a great culinary experience.

I would say it's not very suitable for children, at least not children under five years old. Not because of the food, but because it's many hours waiting for the more then 20 dishes that are served. it's also a rather quiet... More
